Re: ID3 battery recall class/group action
My experience has been pretty good. I got the car in March 22. First recall (12v Battery, 2.4 software) took 2 days - although they said it might and supplied a courtesy car to cover. Shortly after that I got v3 OTA. No issues. Early march this year at 2 year inspection they did both the battery che...

Re: OHME app issue - showing 0% charge
I had the same issue for the last few days. I solved it like others here have done, by switching cars in the Ohme app. My late '22 family pro performance now works with volkswagenid3id4 ID.3 as the profile. I also had this issue, and solved it by using the switch method. It looks like a more extens...

Re: Second hand value and depreciation
Yesterday, I had a call from the supplying dealer saying they had noticed I had significant equity in my car (22 Family Pro) and would I consider trading it in for the latest model. I have no intention of doing so, but asked about lead times, and was advised that it would be about 6 months. I guess ...

Re: New Tyres for an ID3 - A Cautionary Tail
My ID.3 is exactly one year old. It came with the following tyres Good Year 215/55R18 95T Efficient Grip Performance Radial Tubeless. I don’t know anything about tyres and on the forum never seen anyone mention Good Year. Are they any good? I’m going to check tyre tread depth sometime this weekend....

Re: New Tyres for an ID3 - A Cautionary Tail
Resurecting this thread....I am currently in Kwikfit having a punctured tyre replaced - hit pothole, side wall split. 3 ramps. Every one has an EV with puncture replacement. As well as mine a Nissan and an Audi. All have sidewall damage. Is it reasonable to ask if the EV tyre compounds are more susc...

Re: Range
Over the past 9 consecutive days I have done the exact same journey. 104 mile round trip starting with differing charge levels but never lower than 77% (58kw battery). The conditions (both weather and traffic) varied hugely with yesterdays journey in sleet at about 1c. I was not particularly interes...

Re: What Lays Ahead?
As is always the case, forums are the way that many people can complain about elements of their vehicles. There are very few people who would register and post that their car had performed faultlessly and so you don't tend to read about them. Our ID3 has just done 20000 miles in two years and so fa...

Re: WeConnect ID app update
I was concerned the realtime charge had disappeared after the app upgrade but it is still there, all be it in a different place. If you click on the main page (the blue section in the post above) a scrolling pop up showing charge rate in kwh, time remaining and some other info. Afraid I can't be pre...

Re: Totally dead
The suggestion that a 12v battery could flatten by polling the router and/or key is frankly twaddle. Just think about it: a mobile phone doesn't drain that fast when idle, and the capacity of a phone battery is significantly smaller than a car battery. But leaving that aside the car doesn't poll wif...

Re: ID3 servicing.......... simply explained
My car was registered on 4/3/22. I just got an email from the dealer inviting me to book the first service. I replied that was trying it on, verging on deciet. They can wait a year, and I won't use Marshalls........

Re: 3.0 Software Update
Thanks Sidehaas. As I said above that really is pathetic. They haven't even hit the 1k. And why on earth focus on those who haven't installed? Surely the prime focus must be on how they managed to brick a significant percentage of vehicles where the only software is there own. That really does point...

Re: Infotainment Micro SD Card Question
When I got my Id3 I had a similar idea, but found that I could not get a micro Sd to work. I tried various adapters, cards, SSD and found that anything not directly connected (ie through any sort of adapter) didn't work. A USB drive does work. The same USB drive in an adapter didn't work. Logically ...

Re: Parallel Parking in ID.3 using Reversing Camera
Re auto hold. I don't undestand the problem....autohold only engages after "full" breaking. Light use of the break does not cause auto hold, so I can only assume some heavy footed driving.......autobreaking on the other hand is a right pain in confined manoeuvring. The issue with autohold...

Re: We Charge go prices
Further to this and following emails from Elli support it appears that Ionity in France charges per second at €0.009, of €0.52 per minute. This is irrespective of charge rate. This charger has a claimed rate of 350kwh. Having checked it appears the maximum rate I achieved was about 41kwh, and the ch...

Re: We Charge go prices
You can see your prices by opening the WeConnectID app and clicking on a charging station on the map. This includes in France. https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/en/electric-and-hybrid/charging-and-range/we-charge.html Thanks for that. I have checked and the rate is shown as 69c per kwh. So instead of be...

We Charge go prices
Can anybody advise me the We Charge Go Ionity rate per kwh in Euro, please? I recently used a charger twice. First time I was charged €21.52 for 19.65 kwh. Second time I was charged €12.96 for 13.96 kwh. I believe the rate is £0.45 per kwh which is approx €0.52. But I have been charged €1.095 and €0...

Re: UK public charging needs to improve - France excellent
Thanks folks. Overall I have loved the experience. Switching units to km so removing the old style guesstimating.....and the superb road surfaces mean the car just bowls along. A couple of things I don't like tho: the car fails to read the prewarning speed limits, ie 50kmph in 200 m and starts with ...
