Have the same problem. Phone has contact sharing enabled so no idea what's wrong! Used to work in my old car so definitely an issue with the car.

Does anyone know what the WiFi connection is actually used for? I don't mean the hot spot, I'm talking about the connection from the car to my home WiFi?

Maybe I'm unusual, but my car history and path to id3 has never included a VW or Audi! First car was a 1984 Austin Metro 1.3HLE - wish I still had that, reminds me of happy teenage days! Then bought a 1966 MGB GT which I still own 22 years on. Looked after a mate's 1973 Rover P6 while he was living ...

Interesting - as it happens we are down by the coast. If that's the case it's definitely confused as it earlier it shaded areas about 2 miles away when 75% battery!!
