Re: steering creak??

Is it definitely steering creak? Our creaks in the cold due to the panoramic sun roof. It was temporarily fixed last year, but came back this winter. It creaks when we turn up our steep drive. Stops once warm. And yes, these tiny noise become very annoying, like a ticking clock .. yup definately st...

Re: battery module and battery workshop

Inchcape Stockport contacted me to arrange a date. Then 2 days later Inchcape Exeter confirmed they were tasked by VW to do the warranty work. I have to say it all went very smoothly. I did check Inchcape Exeter did exist before my car was loaded on the trailer. thanks Abadgermac - i’m picking it u...

Re: battery module and battery workshop

Several reports of this mainly on FB ID group. Looks like some battery packs have a module that doesn’t perform well and this affects the performance of the whole battery pack (degraded range). The fix is quite involved - removing the main HV battery pack - opening it up and replacing the bad modul...

Re: Id3 not activating in Intelligent Octopus

and my car is on 2.4 so i don’t know why they would say 3.0 and above? Because they list all their cars and then say "or any EV with an Ohme charger". If you didn't have the specific charger you have, you wouldn't be able to use Intelligent with your car. fair enough - I'm happy with both...

Re: please clean the parking sensors?

More often than not parking sensor failure is due to moisture ingress. As your car's still in warranty get your dealer to look ar it. If a car's not under warranty it's worth giving the front of the sensors a squirt of WD40, it repels water well. It might well work! Thanks for that - still under wa...

Hi billybobb, this is discussed in the thread below https://www.id3forums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1932&p=36134#p36134 It seems like the front parking sensors might be (a) exceedingly fragile and (b) exceedingly expensive Edit: if you're lucky, the issue might be a cold-weather ice/frost ...

Hey folks, I’m potentially collecting my car soon from the dealer in Tamworth and need to drive it up to Glasgow. Can anyone recommend places to charge on the M6/M74, or maybe more appropriately places to avoid? I get that the car will help me choose charge points, but hoping for a bit of wisdom li...
