Re: The Chancellor is set to lose out on billions
It is an inevitability. EVs address a couple of the issues we currently have: carbon, and local air pollution. Even the former is contentious depending on how the electricity is generated. What EVs aren't is a panacea for all transport problems, one of the biggest is the sheer number of vehicles on ...

Re: Recognising National speed restriction signs
I’ve noticed that the car camera will read speed limit signs, even temporary ones or variable speed limit ones, but it doesn’t recognise the National restrictions sign (white circle with black line diagonally) that often signifies going to 60 from a 30 zone around villages etc. Hence the car still ...

Re: How to stop being a free charging point?
Feeding guests is hospitality, not weakness. Expecting free charges is a different level which will increase. Soon every guest will expect a free charge. Making chargers use a card to charge reduces the possibility of a free charge as it perceived as a public pay charger. Asking for the card would ...

Re: How to stop being a free charging point?
What an ignorant comment to make, as one would have to order a takeaway and pay for it so they would eat for free (exactly as happened with the unexpected EV charge stop over). You can suggest what you wish and I am free to ignore you, and you are free not to respond or post. It is clear I was look...

Re: Speed limit incorrect
I think there are inevitably going to be the odd discrepancy. As you drive under M62 J32A (M62/A1(M) interchange) it tries to drop to 50 as it recognises the lower limit on the various slip roads which are above the M62 mainline - not sure how things like that can ever be satisfactorily addressed re...

Picked up on Saturday, lots to familiarise myself with! Very happy so far, though VW did supply the wrong boot liner - life rather than family model. How did you know it was the wrong one? Doesn't fit... With the dual-height boot floor the runners for the floor are fixed so the 'wings' at the back ...

Stainproofing upholstery
Hi all
Has anyone had any experience stainproofing the upholstery in your new vehicle? Planning to do it with some off-the-shelf fabric protector spray (make sure it's ventilated, yadda-yadda) but aside from the normal caution does anyone have any other observations?
Ta!

Hi All. Have an ID.3 in Moonstone Grey with East Derry alloys and floor mats on order. Ordered mid August, but dealer managed to find one confirmed for build and now been shipped, so expecting to have it in the next three weeks or so. First EV and first new car I've owned; got it on 4 years PCP as I...
