ID3 breakdown leads to poor VW customer service
I don’t really want this thread to come across as a VW witch-hunt, but boy have they got some issues to learn from (coming from a customers perspective). So…. This is a lengthy rant, but I feel it needs documenting. (The cut version oif you don’t want to read the rant is ID3 broke-down, currently wi...

Re: Delivery time
Picked up my family pro performance yesterday after a 9 month wait. Can confirm it is MY22.5 with new interior and side sensors. Went for a drive last night around Edinburgh, love the ACC. Oooo, how exciting! How are you getting on with it? I have a feeling our car was built at a similar time to yo...

Re: Delivery time
Update from dealer will not be built before January. And you ordered in July? This is what infuriates people I think. My dealer is STILL suggesting a Jan 22 delivery date is possible for us, ( but as per usual they don’t want to put anything on paper) despite our order going in Sept 2021 and not ha...

Re: Delivery time
I just feel like they need to manage expectations a little better. If they told us 9 months at the beginning, we could have made some arrangements to suit that. My order on the 26th September has a printed expected date on the order as 31st July 2021 "Just to be safe", so it seems less li...

Re: Delivery time
I think the point is that they don’t know what flow of components they have, at least as far as the semiconductors are concerned. That’s my understanding anyway, and I share your frustration. I know, I appreciate what you are saying mate. It’s just a frustrating situation. Surely they know approxim...

Re: Delivery time
I ordered through Carwow and have been assigned to Inchcape VW in Swindon. Ordered on the 14th September, projected delivery date of 17th Jan 2022, order number 31464XXX. No special spec, just a pro performance family 58kwh in free grey with the 18” east Derry alloys. The Jan delivery date has obvio...

ID.3 rental in Rhodes
I thought I’d write a little report on a really positive EV experience we had. My wife and I are in Rhodes on a holiday, where we thought we would look into renting a car. After speaking to the rental company, it became apparent that they had a few EVs for hire, which took me by surprise! So we set ...

Re: ID.3 U.K. Delivery Times
So, we put an order request in on Monday, had it confirmed today and received an order number. We have been quoted an approximate delivery date of 17/1/22. Not holding out breath for this but thought it might be interesting to see how it develops for us, and what other people’s opinions are on the l...

Re: Screen Protector Film
I’ve not fitted one to an id3, but I had a bmw m140i and fitted a matt screen protector to the idrive screen. It helped no end with glare, didn’t effect inputs and gave the added bonus of protecting the screen. I don’t think you will scratch the screen in use, the risk for me is scratching it using ...

Re: My ID.3 Life story...
lol 36 miles across multiple journeys in the winter... The review is terrible and certainly not 'generally spot on'. Jesus, keep your hair on mate. Not need to give the quotation mark button such a bashing on your key board. Also, your opinion of his reviews wasn’t something I asked for, but thanks...

Re: My ID.3 Life story...
I was watching the link provided below when I saw the stats. This chaps reviews are generally spot on, so I was disappointed. https://youtu.be/C0jsCkz_kQo Here’s the bit of the review he talks about the efficiency, but I guess it’s hugely journey and environment dependant. https://i.ibb.co/bNYZSxP/D...

Re: Consumption and first impressions
Had a little run out to the shops this morning, and I thought the consumption was pretty good... https://i.ibb.co/8593pcf/IMG-20210905-113326.jpg 🤣... Okay, it might have been downhill on the way there. Thought I'd have a look at the full journey, so this is returning to the same starting point, so...
