Driving in Spain / France

I see that the Octopus Juice card seems to cover a lot of charge points in France / Spain. Is it possible that a We Charge card and Octopus Juice card is all I would need from say Saint Malo to San Sebastian ? Is it worth getting the ChargeMap card ? or does the Octopus Juice card cover the same loc...

Re: Sanya Summer Wheels

I really like the look of the Sanyas. They look at a lot more special and unique to my eyes but I was put off them when ordering the car by a combination of the VW price and reports that ride on the 19s was worse than the 18s so it would probably be much worse on the 20s. What tyres were you coming...

Re: Sanya Summer Wheels

They look really good. I have looked at doing the same but on my new ID3 ordered in Sept. Just not sure its coming next week or the end of the year??? No point on my current ID3. The ebay supplier from Germany looks like a really good source. 12,000+ feedbacks 100% positive. What tyres did you go f...

Or, put them on another id.3 The ride ? .... can't tell t...

Charge Change in iD App ?

Under Settings in the WeConnect app has the recommended charging changed ??? I remember the bit that said:- "For battery friendly charging we recommend a target charge level of 80%" but I don't remember the app going onto say:- "this setting does not apply to charging sessions at spec...

Re: First road Trip 1500 miles

Nice report, thanks. As a relatively recent buyer I've used three rapid chargers so far (MFG, Osprey, Instavolt) and found them all straightforward. I agree it's a good car for a long day's drive. Only lesson we learned was to make sure we were navigating to the exact charger location from zapmap o...

First road Trip 1500 miles

Well... I know the car a lot more after our 1500 mile (maybe more) trip around England. We started off near Edinburgh with a full charge. Outside temp about 3 degrees. Our target - MFG Power forecourt Wiggan Due to the outside temp the ID3 notified us about 50 miles in that our power consumption was...

Re: Cruise control efficiency

Excellent help y'all. We have mapped out a 1000 mile UK road trip starting soon. Will probably be using cruise on motorways in eco mode with eco assist on as well. I can only imagine B mode would be beneficial inner city, traffic jams and descending a mountain pass.. So, probably in D most of the ti...

Re: Bike Transport retrofit

Taa - wondered if there were a cheaper deal/option about. No problem. I know what you mean.. We do a lot of cycling and used Thule roof carriers in the past.. This VW fit is the only solid option for the ID.3 though. On the plus side, its super neat, with the electrics and mount protected from the ...

Hi chaps, chapesses and chaplets Just had the bike transport hitch retrofit - fit I was expecting to see 55kg 2 bikes max on the sticker ?? as I was under the impression that the retrofit max weight was reduced when compared to the factory fit ? Toyota 'may' have something but due to recent form to be taken with a massive pinch of salt. Toyota appear to have been ploughing millions into advertising campaigns in an attempt to stall the uptake of EV's whilst also presenting mundane new offerings as 'the EV to wait for'. Will Toyota's first ne...
