EV routing in Maps on iPhone
Does anyone know if this works in the UK for an ID.3? Apple says "The Maps app can help you plan trips that include stops for charging your EV and monitor charges in your car while driving. Important : EV routing is available on select vehicles and in select areas . Features vary by county and ...

Re: Partial charge on Intelligent Octopus
Update again:
Podpoint came out and replaced the RCCD. The engineer said that that particular brand of RCCD was inclined to give problems. He tested it and it was oversensitive. I did not have to pay for the visit.

Re: Partial charge on Intelligent Octopus
Update. I plugged in tonight and got a red light by the charging port. Went to the cellar to find that the pod point had tripped its RCCD.

Partial charge on Intelligent Octopus
After a period when it was working perfectly it has recently failed to charge my car up to the required level. Twice the shortfall was only 2% (charging to 78% when it should have been 80% and to 98% when it should have been 100%). Last night was more serious. I requested charge to 80% by 09.00 and ...

Re: Tronity subscription - or not?
I have used, and enjoyed, the limited functionality of Tronity, but I'm not very inclined to pay £30 or £35 a year for it. I see they offer a free option called off-line. I am not sure what that offers. Does anyone know.

Two years with our ID.3 Tour
Two years in our ID.3 Tour and how has it been? We've done 26,000 miles in the UK and France and thoroughly enjoyed it. I shall tempt providence by saying that we have had no significant problems and every software update from 2.3 to 3.2 has gone without a hitch. I have had odd issues and questions ...

Re: Intelligent Octopus fallen over??
Four days after my ID.3 failed to charge using its Intelligent Octopus charging slots I now get this from VW: "Please be aware that the issue you are reporting, might have to do with an unplanned outage that took place at the time on our servers, affecting the remote services. As the outage has...

Re: Intelligent Octopus fallen over??
Octopus said it had failed because I had set the car's maximum charge level to 80%. I don't believe that. Chris Jenkins says that VW had some problems with their servers and they were failing to communicate with Octopus, so Intelligent Octopus sessions did not start as they should have done. I succe...

Intelligent Octopus fallen over??
We've not had Intelligent Octopus long, but until last night it worked perfectly. (Podpoint set to manual, ID.3 Tour with software version 3 no timer settings.) Last night Intelligent Octopus failed to charge. I set the Octopus app to charge up to 80% by 08.00 Neither my Podpoint nor my VW ID.3 has ...

Re: battery module and battery workshop
Does anyone know if they want us to run the battery down a bit before they do the main battery check?
Or do we simply let them have the car with 80% SoC?

Re: Creaking dashboard
The replacement part silenced our creaking dashboard/HUD interface, for two or three weeks, then it came back. I put a little silicone spray on it and that almost silenced it. I don't mind doing that occasionally.

Re: Let’s see your ID.3 and post your positives with the car.
Another grey one I'm afraid! We are delighted with ours. It's lovely to drive, comfortable and quiet and excellent in snow with Continental all season tyres. I do criticise VW for taking so long to get the software sorted, but all our updates have worked perfectly so far (currently on 3.0 and going ...

Do you still have to use a scheduled charge on Intelligent Octopus at least once every 30 days?
What do you do if you want to go away (for work or holiday) for more than 30 days?

Re: We Charge
We've now take our ID to France three times and driven about 5.5 thousand km. The network of chargers on the motorways is good and getting better all the time. Ionity are excellent as are Fastned. We've also had successful charges at Lidl. Total energy are a bit irritating, they seem to charge by th...

Re: Tyre recommendation
I would not recommend putting all season tyres on the front and summer tyres on the back. Your rear end will go all over the place in winter. I ran our Bridgstones for about 15,000miles with a swap front to back at about 11K. I then put on a set of four Continental all seasons on. Generalyl very ple...

Re: IONITY + Plug & Charge (We Charge): charges fine but not being billed?
We Charge send a separate bill for charging in France. So if you have charged in France and the UK during the same months you should bet two We Charge bills.
