Another one moving on..

Well well, after countless videos and a test drive I've finally bit the bullet and sold my ID.3 to Motorway for a cosey 3.5k profit and have a dealer ordered Cupra Born V2 in Aurora Blue with the Tech L Pack arriving next week - look out very soon if you're in the market for a Life Pro Performance i...

Re: Aftermarket Reversing Camera Installation

I enquired about this with the dealership I purchased my ID.3 from and they wouldn’t touch it with a barge poll (Inchape Swindon). I did then enquire with VW-Retrofit in Redditch as he previously retro fitted a digital dash and activated Apple CarPlay in my previous Seat Leon and he’s quoted £520 al...

Re: New owner, Loving the ID.3

That's a great price on the rear camera! Wish I'd known about them before,I have mine booked in with a firm in Devon next month and there a fair bit dearer than that. Never mind! I do prefer the look of the genuine VW mud flaps as the after market ones look as if there not finished off properly ( t...

Re: New owner, Loving the ID.3

Looks real good, Andoyas are the best wheel option IMHO as I also have them on my Life Pro Performance! I've been going back and fourth on the mudflaps for my ID3 and I think looking at this I'll pick up a set. In regards to the rear view camera.. I've had vw-retrofit.co.uk price up the rear camera ...

They're pretty much the same company and work together on almost everything, can recommend both companies!

1st Service..

Probably been asked a million times.. apologies! So I'm coming up to a year of ownership (29th June) and had a mail this morning from Inchape Volkswagen advising it's service time.. "We are contacting you to let you know that according to our records, your vehicle, ******* may soon be due a Ser...

Re: Wireless charger missing in Max?

Place the phone in the charger the correct way (facing forward) in the slot, and out of a phone case, otherwise you can forget charging. Follow the aforementioned advice and my elderly Samsung S10 charges quite quickly. I will say with my iPhone 13 Pro Max it charges absolutely fine in a case howev...

Re: Wireless charger missing in Max?

What I've found with the wireless charger in my Life, is that you need to place your phone in the correct way otherwise it won't seat properly and will intermittently charge.... if you place it camera down into the holder it won't seat properly but if you drop the phone lightening port down into the...

Re: Software 2.4 rollout delayed

I've said it before, I don't expect to see 2.4 or certainly 3.x on my car. VW already made the announcement that it would depend on the hardware, for some reason lots of people thought that meant VW would replace all our old ECUs?? Eventually VW will announce that early cars are not suitable and th...

Re: Auto stop in reverse?

All models of the ID.3 have it. I know this because 2 days into owning my Life I thought I reversed into a wall as the stop/breaking was so sudden and harsh..... however it was the breaks automatically engaging as I got too close for comfort. :D

Very interesting, never seen this issue at all.. are you sure the bonnet prop/pole was in it's correct place as it can be a tad fiddly to put back correctly.

Re: Wireless smartphone charging

Wireless charging always brings more heat, this is a natural experience with wireless charging as it heats the wireless coils, happens when I charge my iPhone 13 Pro with the official apple MagSafe cable. The thing with the ID.3.. even if you’re not using CarPlay/Android Auto it still runs in the ba...

Charging question..

So…. this might come across super dumb. I’ve owned my ID.3 Life Pro Performance since June 2021 and every time I’ve charged at 100kw+ fast chargers I’ve never seen my car charge above 50-60kw.. I understand that I have the life model without the *heat pump* so naturally it will use more energy to he...

Re: Door handle covers.

Thanks for these photos. Had an eye on these but always weary of how the quality is on these sorts of products, but the images (and your description) do make them look pretty nice! As you might have gathered from my earlier posts in the thread, I was wary, and worried about quality of fit and finis...

Re: Door handle covers.

If anyone is interested, Plugear has just released the RHD version of their door handle covers. I already have the middle cupholder covered with a Matt black cover and it looks miles better than the gloss black. Placed an order today and will post pictures when they arrive! Great idea. After a week...

Re: Door handle covers.

Do they have the rear ones as well? If not, i'd wait for the whole car to be done. How about prices? Although mine are covered in fingerprints (especially on the rear doors, from the kids), i'd surprised that there's still not a scratch on them. Comes as a full set so both front and both rear, came...
