Re: Your next car?
Thank you, that's really kind of you. The car is going this week but I'm getting an ID5 this week so will try it on that. Many thanks

Re: Your next car?
Wife has just decided to replace her ID3 with another Polo GTI. She likes most of the ID3 but as she drives very infrequently she finds the minimalist screen and hidden menus infuriating to the point of being dangerous for her. Another annoying thing is that we bought an Ohme Smart Charger, so we co...

Probably better to end it there because I’m showing you an article from 2022 and your response is from 2007.

Re: Delays + Energy price increases
If there was even the remotest truth in turntoport 's pronouncement every PCP provider is going to go bankrupt because they estimate residual value each time and generally speaking they estimate it on the low side.

Non human made Co2 accounts for 97% of the total of those green house gasses, which means the whole of Man-Kind is responsible for just 3%. Re: Delays + Energy price increases
It's curious that the proponents of Octopus Go tariff never mention that they are charged a hefty premium for electricity used outside the very cheap time window. When I last checked, the cost/KWH for Octopous Go 'daytime' electricity was ~30% higher than for the daytime rate of an Octopus Economy ...

Re: Delays + Energy price increases
Repfigit's response is the best and most relevant one in this thread. T-O-U charging will become the norm much quicker than people think, probably trialling large-scale before the end of this year, so using an 'intelligent' (not particularly intelligent, just a programme that fits expected consumpt...

Re: New ID3 Family Pro
The car looks great Jiffie. My wife has the exact same car apart from the wheels. Personally, I think the 58kwh battery in the id3 is the pick of the range and offers proper range without too much extra weight. Her car was noticeably more economical than my first id4 max but I’m guessing the decreas...

Re: Should DC Charge stop at Limit set in Car ?
We’ve bought three new evs now and each time we have picked the cars up they’ve been charged to 100%. Having spoken to many of the salesmen who almost all have the id4, they all seem to charge to 100% all the time. In fact, whilst I’m careful like you, or at least I have been, I’ve got a new id5 gtx...

Re: Dealer wants paying in advance..
Personally I’ve had this a number of times, especially with premium brands and I do pay in advance as it makes the process much quicker on the day. Banks now go through security so you know that you are paying it into the Main Dealer account rather than the salesman’s slush fund. That said, we are a...

Re: Screen not working instrument blackout
That's never happened to me but in the words of the IT Crowd "Have tried turning it of and on again" is the best solution. Just make sure you lock it and leave it for ten mins or so. Also it maybe worth holding down the start button for 20-30 seconds to see if that reboots it. Good luck

Re: Surprised to almost be a new ID.3 owner
You'll love it!. Ive got the ID.4 Max and the wife has just collected her Family Pro and she really likes it. The ID.3 feels more nimble and a fair bit quicker than the 4 but it's the room inside you'll notice. The wife's car is the facelift model and it seems pretty well built.

Re: Saying Hello and looking for some advice
My wife has just received her family pro, despite the Manufacturer changing to Life only builds well before hers was made, so I'd say you'll be fine.

Re: Delivery time
Hi all some more good news updated by dealer on 17th May my car is now built and sat at Emden, built week18, looking at the dealer screen shot it shows MY22 E113MJ with interior code TN, I think the TN refers to the new style vegan leatherette seats, I found a VW guide from Ireland showing TN as th...

Looks fab, well done! I’ve got the id4 in white but I still think the id3 looks better and drives better.

Oh that's great! Yours might be the first MY 22.5 Family on this forum then? I’ve no idea at the moment. Have they even started build the 22.5 model yet? She’ll be happy either way as long as it’s the spec she’s ordered. There are quite few MY22.5 cars appearing now, none of which were ordered as s...

The wife car, a build week 11 is now at the dealers, and she'll collect next week. It arrived much quicker after build than we'd feared. Oh that's great! Re: Delivery time
The Dealer contacted today to say that the wifes’ car has been built (week11) and is awaiting shipment, so hopefully others will see some movement too.
