Re: Octopus Intelligent VS My Car & Wallbox

I've got a Zappi, but Intelligent is controlling the charge via the ID3 and lately it's gone from nice blocks of charge and always achieving the target at the end of the night to constant stop/start charging and only achieving about half of the charge it should. I suspect there's something going on ...

Re: Solar + Battery thoughts

Sorry I missed this It's all going great with the sonnen. No issues and it does all that I want it to do. If you have any specific questions ect, just send them to me. Cheers I'm about to have my 5th inverter installed in less than a year, so just wanted the reassurance that it does work for someon...

Re: Solar + Battery thoughts

I am currently in the middle of installation, it has been a drawn out process due to availability of components. I think the £20k price is a bit high but maybe some of that is local tradesmen costs. I have 10x Trina Solar 410w panels and a Sonnen 9.53 Hybrid system with 7.5kw battery option and all...

Re: Intelligent Octopus Woes

Should I be able to see what the charging slots are due to be in the app? Just switched to IO this morning, as Go was due to finish next week. If I change the target charge percentage then I get a notification from the Octopus app, but on my Pixel it only shows two slots and '...', so I went to the ...

Re: Intelligent Octopus

Not sure if this is the right thread to post this question, but... I'm in the process of switching to IO and was wondering if the referral codes that are published by people here are available to use (where both parties get £50)? If someone has a code they would like to redeem then please message m...

Re: Incorrect range reported in the App.

I thought this was just it defaulting to a pessimistic predicting of range, but having read this it does seem to be an incorrect conversion. Mine has been like this from new, delivered with 3.1. Edit: I've also noticed that the car will sometimes show as being unlocked in the app but a quick look at...

Re: Central air vents

Oh goodness, I've been driving around for 3 months with my vents closed. That explains it. They looked different than my old Golf and I assumed they had the modern stuff like Tesla - the new ID.7 style climate control now makes a lot of sense as an advance over what I have... It was only recently w...

Re: Quick Intelligent Octopus Question

Interesting about tracker. I don't think it is easy to get on to tracker rate though is it? The other issue is that we use around 55% of our electricity on off peak according to Octopus so the Go/Intelligent rates make a lot of sense for us. At the moment we are completely at the mercy of VW to get...

Re: For octopus customers

Anyone here on Intelligent and Outgoing Octopus rather than SEG? I've got Go fixed at 7.5p until August but wondering if it might be worth switching to Intelligent if I could get paid more for exporting over the summer... I am on intelligent and Outgoing Octopus. I haven’t yet had a full summer of ...

Re: Home Assistant integrations

Yesterday was the first time that I'd charged the car away from home and managed to time my trip into IKEA almost exactly with the car getting to 80% charge. :D Ended up translating your home reminder into Node-red where I already have some automations that work when I get home. I'll work something ...

Re: Door mirror woes

If VW could write decent software, that could, and should, be on the app. It is in 3.0. Mirrors unfolding on ignition rather than on entry is definitely not on my Cupra Born that was delivered on 3.0, probably not going to be in the ID3's 3.0 either as they are essentially the same car under the sk...

It is in 3.0.
Does anyone here in the UK think they will ever get 3?
Mine was delivered with it, but point taken.

Re: Door mirror woes

Not had that problem, thankfully. Just another thought. Why do the mirrors unfold when you open the door? I had a VW Polo as a loan car recently, and the mirrors on that opened and closed with the ignition. Seems much more sensible to me. The number of times I have locked, unlocked, locked, unlocke...

Where is this from? I've had no problems with my Zappi so far, although I won't have solar until after next week.
