Re: Should DC Charge stop at Limit set in Car ?

The original question was less about the issue of charging above 80% and more about should the rapid charge stop at 80% as per the cars charge settings ? The dealer hadn't wound the charge level in the car upto 100%, it was still set at 80% when I collected it !! Surely the rapid charger should resp...

Should DC Charge stop at Limit set in Car ?

My car has been back to dealer today for a small snag fix.. When I collected the car, the dealer had it plugged into some kind of rapid CCS DC charger, and it was charged to 100%. However, the car is set to charge to 80% as per the recommendation of the very same dealer, but it clearly didn't stop c...

Anyone got a Sync EV Compact Charger ?

Hi All, I have been researching home chargers ahead of getting my car.. I think that as I am after a small discrete charger that I am down to either the EO Mini Pro or the Sync EV.. Out of those two, the Sync EV appears to have more features, Rfid, PEN protection, Cellular connectivity, RJ45 cable c...

Granny Charger Charge Rate

Hi All, I bought one of the Ohme 3 pin plug Granny chargers on the Octopus £199 deal for emergency use when I get my car. I also plan to use it when visiting family for the weekend as they are over 150 miles away. However, the whole thing about safety and condition of household ring mains bothers me...

East Derry Vs Loen alloys

I ordered my car with East Derry wheels as don't like the standard Steel Wheels. Thing is, not a fan of the Diamond Cut type of wheels either, much prefer a painted/powder coated alloy, like on my current T-Cross. But just noticed that VW Loen 18" alloy wheels are available in the accessories b...

Been reading lots about ID.3's and see the term "First Edition" mentioned a lot.

So, are all ID.3's that are currently being delivered "First Edition" ?

Re: ID.Light with Natural voice control

Thanks..

The ID.light does sound useful..

So, is the voice thing a bit like an Alexa, sounds like it.
If it is able to do stuff and control features of the car (heating etc.) it sounds like it may be a useable alternative instead of hunting for menus and options on touch screen..

Interesting.

ID.Light with Natural voice control

Hi All, Still busy researching ahead of getting my car.. Spotted this in the manual, and wondered what it is all about. Industry first – ID.Light with Natural voice control .. My current T-Cross offers voice control but it is fairly basic, so wondering what the ID3 offers with "Natural Voice Co...

Can the Cabin be Pre-Conditioned

Hi all, As I await my car I am researching what I can.. A question, can the cabin be pre-conditioned, for example warmed up and defrosted be fore entry, or air conditioned on a warm day before entry ? I know this feature is available on other EV's, but not found anything written about it on the ID.3...

Hi All, I have been reading with interest about the OTA 2,3 update that a lot seem to be having trouble with. As I don't have my car yet, I was just wondering if it is possible to download it on a fast broadband connection to a PC and then install it to the car using a USB stick ? This is what I do ...

Hi All, Ahead of receiving my ID.3 early next year I am researching chargers etc. I have sorted a 7kWh home charger but was wondering whether to get a so called "Granny Charger" for emergencies or when visiting the in-laws for weekends. So, which Granny Chargers come recommended and work O...

145 PS Anyone ?

Hi guy's, Has anyone got a 145 PS ID.3 and want want to share any comments ? My dealer is telling me that only way to get a ID.3 using the government £2.5k grant is to go for either the Life with 207 PS or the Family with 145 PS. The car I test drove was a Business 207 PS, and I loved that, but just...

Re: Variable Boot Floor

Thanks Sparky,

That is so helpful, seems the Family spec has a carpeted lower section.

The car that I test drove which i was told was a Business spec, didn't have the lower section carpeted..

Thanks..
