Re: Advice for purchasing used
My understanding of battery longevity is that they take a small hit early on, then level out. My view would be that 93% is reasonable and it probably took most of that 7% in the first year.

Re: Potentail new ID3 owner.
For what it's worth, I thought software 3.0 was very good too, no issues. However if you buy a car with 3.0 you'll still have to go through the rigmarole of the dealer 3.2 update, so best get one already on 3.2 as duncsand says. Only other thing to say, if you get a 77kwh model in the UK, they are ...

Re: Potentail new ID3 owner.
OK, my answers: 1) Yes, 8 years / 100k 2) The main issue has been software on earlier models - make sure anything you buy has been upgraded to 3.2, which I find to be pretty reliable. As part of the 3.2 upgrade there's a check on the HV battery and some cars have had to get some battery modules repl...

Re: Winter range
Speed, temperature, wind, use of energy sapping devices (wipers, lights, heating) all impact range. In winter anything 180-220 is possible, depending on situations.

Re: First long trip tomorrow in ID.3
I second this, it's really good advice. There's nothing worse than turning up at a site with 10% charge and finding one or two charger, both in use. I always choose sites with larger numbers of chargers to avoid this situation. I've not found any automated planning solutions that take this into acco...

Re: 3.2 installed at the dealer today!
I had that message during the day a few times. When I got the car back I had to login to my account again, but once done, the app's working fine. I can't really fault the process - for me, at least, it went exactly as I might hope it would.

Re: 3.2 installed at the dealer today!
I just got the call, about 6 hours after I dropped the car off - all done, 3.2 installed and passed the battery check with no issues.

Re: 3.2 installed at the dealer today!
My ID.3 went in to be upgraded from 3.0 to 3.2 today. The dealer has given me an identical ID.3 (already on 3.2) as a loaner, which was a pleasant surprise. Fingers crossed all goes well!

Re: factory 3.0->3.2?
Thank you, I checked and my car shows recall for 3.2 install and battery check. That's interesting as I checked a few weeks ago and it wasn't showing anything. I called my dealer and booked in for a couple of weeks time. They said they book in for 3 days, just to be on the safe side, but hoped it wo...

factory 3.0->3.2?
Hi, my ID.3 came with 3.0 from the factory. Does anyone know if/when I'll be able to get it upgraded to 3.2?

Intelligent Octopus price drop for peak time usage
I just switched to Intelligent Octopus. My peak time rate is only 31.21p / kWh, which is a tiny increment over the standard tariff of 30.9p /kWh. Previously I'd been reluctant to switch as the price differential was more like 10p. Now it seems a complete no-brainer, so I get to charge my ID.3 at jus...

Re: Ovo Charge Anytime
Thanks. My car was 3.0 from the factory and I've not had any issues with it. The Ovo EV plan seems much, much better financially than the alternatives, at least for me. I don't do a lot of miles, so paying a higher daytime rate in order to access cheap overnight rates doesn't work for me at all. How...

Ovo Charge Anytime
I notice that Ovo now list the id.3 with 3.0+ as compatible with Ovo Charge Anytime.
Has anyone used this combination yet? I'm thinking of switching to Ovo as £0.1/kWh at any time seems a really good deal - so interested in any experiences.

Re: Software version 2.3 updating to higher release
You may well be on 2.4, as bizarrely VW systems show both as 2.3 in the car. If it says 0912 on the same screen as it's says 2.3, you actually have 2.4. If it says 0910, you still have 2.3. If you still have 2.3, speak to your dealer - the upgrade to 2.4 is done by them as a service item, along with...

Re: Buying a used iD.3
The ID light is a nice idea but I hardly use it as I use Car Play and Apple Maps in preference to the VW stuff. The ID light is quite cool in the way it integrates with navigation, but it doesn't work with Apple/Google Maps unfortunately. Personally I find the Family spec models the sweet-stop - nic...

Re: Coming up to 1.5 years with the ID3
I agree with the original poster and find the car excellent. Much is made of problems with the infotainment system, but to be honest I use CarPlay and that makes the infotainment system a bit irrelevant. I agree on lack of rear speakers and lighting on the volume sliders - these seem silly omissions...

Stuck charge port
Hi, I'm posting this in case it helps someone else. Today my charge port cover got stuck when I closed it after charging. It was nearly shut, but not quite - it wasn't flush with the body of the car. No amount of prodding and pushing would make it open, which meant I wouldn't be able to charge again...

Re: Driving on snow
I have 18inch Bridgestones and ventured out on our very slippery road this morning - all compacted snow and ice. I was very careful and had the car in 'B' mode as I felt that best to kept things nice and slow going down the hill. The car performed absolutely fine, no issues. I was super nervous, giv...
