It fit my 2024 id.3 no problem, don’t know about 2025 model.

Re: KWH Charging Rate

I also like to charge to 100% before a long journey. Unless I’m heading home I don’t like to drop below 30% when traveling. Public charging availability and reliability has improved a lot in the last 3 years but I still get edgy on long trips and stop to charge more often than probably needed.

Re: VW ID3 – 4 MONTHS IN

I have had my 2024 id.3 Match for 7 months now and really like it but try as I might I can't get the voice controls to recognize anything I request. I even sat down with a list of the phrases such as "Turn off heated steering wheel" and the response is always along the lines "I'm sorr...

Re: Green rectangle on the number plate

Personally I like having a green flash as I think it helps take-up if people see more EVs on the road ...but there is no other benefit. I agree, those green flashes make it much easier to see the numbers of EVs on the road. 18% of all new cars in 2023 and so far in 2024 it is similar. https://www.z...

My current solution is using a starter case from a strip light, which fits like a glove! 😆
Nice solution!!

Re: Device away from home (Octopus related)

I find the ID3 API to be pretty unreliable. I have a Zappi charger and switched to have Octopus control that rather tan the car. Works perfectly. Same here. The main issue I have is before a long journey when I charge at home and want to charge to 100%, sometimes the car will reset to max charge of...

Re: UK Public Charging

Lots of good options these days especially while travelling on major highways. I did use a Tesla supercharger recently on a trip to Scotland, on the A1 in Northumberland. Worked great, much cheaper evm for a non-member but took me 2 or 3 attempts to reverse to place where the cable would reach.

Re: Sensor Fail - Front bumper damage

The front sensors don't turn on until very late unless you press the P button. By design they do not always operate early like the rear ones do. If you are manoeuvring and need to rely completely on the front parking sensor you should press P. Although, if something is that low they may miss it any...

Re: Getting BBC sounds on internet radio outside uk

I like using Apple AirPlay when in my id.3, can select apps etc from the info system screen in the screen. I’m away at present without my car so can’t try it out but this would be my first thing to look at. With Google maps I have the full app displayed on the screen so can easily operate it without...

Now that I finally have the app connected I am a little disappointed to see that although it will show if the car is locked or not it won’t allow a remote unlock/lock, despite what I read. What am I missing? I just received this email telling me about some of the app features “One handy app. So many...

Re: Digital Instrument Cluster question

Are there any trip counters available? “Since start” as shown in the OP is the trip counter. You don’t need to reset it manually, I think it resets if you stop for more than two hours or so. But yes it would be nice to have the option to only reset the trip manually so you could track it over a few...

I took delivery of my first id.3 on Friday 19th April and after a week still don't even have the app connected to my car. I get an error that says activation is not possible until after the car has been delivered. The salesman failed to get it to work and suggested that I give it 24 hours. Same next...

Looking at my latest bill it shows how much electricity charged at what tariff and also shows the average price/kWh. Last month it was 7.14 overnight, 28.17 during the day and average for the month 7.34 on 210.8 kWh.
