Re: Alarm Malfunction

In have found it necessary to slam the boot lid shut.

Soft closing the boot lid looks OK, but I found I could still move it up a few mm. Slamming the boot lid closes it absolutely tight and solved my unexpected alarm issues.

Re: Alarm goes off at random

I would second hwhbev's comment about the boot lid. My car's alarm has gone off twice while parked on my drive. The second time I examined it carefully, and the boot lid was not closed absolutely tight, I could rattle it slightly. It was also raining hard. Perhaps a loose lid being hit by rain and w...

Re: I'm a bit worried about the range

Hi, I have just charged my ID3 (called Heidi by the way) at home to 80%, it gives the range as just over 180 miles. Assuming you don't want to run the battery flat just down to 10% charge, that reduces the usable range to about 160 miles, or 80 miles (129 km) out and 80 miles (129km) back. Regards S...

Re: Totally dead - is the key fob interacting with he car?

Hi, I have a question for those people who's 12v battery was drained when the car was not used for a couple of days. How close to the car did you keep the keys? My ID3 is parked with the bonnet just under my study window. The keys are kept out of sight in the study. Last night I picked up the bunch ...

Re: New to the Volkswagen ID3 Forums

Hi There, I have just taken delivery of an ID3 !st Edition, I am calling her Heidi. I am loving the car but hating the software. The small but lengthy user manual takes a lot to work through. My first gripe is that the Navigation software does not recognise a UK postcode. Surely the quickest way to ...
