Re: How do I delete my data when selling my ID3?
Thanks for the tips Scratch . I found that there is an option to ‘restore factory settings’ under the ‘settings’ option (icon). Maybe this is only in the later versions of software. Anyway, selecting factory reset deletes all data, logs out and deletes the user (I only had a primary user), and logs ...

How do I delete my data when selling my ID3?
Anyone know the procedure for deleting all my data, we connect, satnav, etc. when selling my ID3 please?
Had a search through the forums, on -line, and the printed handbook without finding any instructions.
Anyone done this before and remember the instructions?

Re: Odometer not updating in App
Same problem here. 3.2 installed at the dealership following 2.4 and 12v battery change etc. Odometer reading updated reliably in vehicle health tab of iPhone app and continued to do so for at least six weeks. Reading no longer updates. Suspect this came with a recent update to the VW app. I wonder ...

We are still waiting on the update to 2.4 as the recall programme drags on.

Fixed in the latest version of the app. At least it is for me.

Re: Alarm goes off every night and day
Our car was doing this until the software was updated in the first dealer recall (not 2.3). I have read that the boot latch sensor can also be a problem. Making sure the boot was firmly closed seemed to help. However, all gone away after the dealer visit.

Re: Drive through car wash
Page 165 of the manual has some instructions for “establishing rolling capability of the vehicle” for use in car washes for example, otherwise the parking brake may be applied automatically. I haven’t tried this but here is what it says (for those who don’t have access): Prerequisites — Vehicle is s...

Re: ID.3 Arriving tomorrow, but I have no idea what it will be!
@cornbutter Yes, the VIN encodes some information and ends in a production serial number. In the case of the original poster: WVWZZZE1ZNPxxxxx (ID.3) WVW = Germany, Volkswagen (Volkswagen Passenger Cars) ZZZ = filler characters E1 = Model ID.3 Z = check character M = year 2022 P = Zwickau plant, Vol...

Re: ID.3 Arriving tomorrow, but I have no idea what it will be!
The tenth digit of the VIN indicates the year of manufacture. 'N' is 2022, 'M' was 2021, 'L' was 2020 as is my understanding. The eleventh digit indicates the place of manufacture. 'P' being Zwickau if I'm right.

Re: Small red battery
At the top right of the satnav screen? A red battery-like symbol appears there if your destination is beyond the current range of the car. It can also come and go as the predicted available range changes. For some reason the satnav seems to guess one’s destination if you haven’t entered one.

Re: Replacements for the 'Aero Steels'
I don't mind the steel wheels and plastic covers on our ID3. It is white so maybe that's part of it.
Anyway, I think they suit the appliance like nature of the ID3. They also prepare one for the decidedly utilitarian interior.

Re: ACC wants to do the speed-limit
Follow MotMot’s directions above. As understand it, there are options to automatically adjust to posted speed limits (default) or to travel at the set speed. For the latter select off for ‘react to permitted speeds’ in the assist systems menu for ACC It does say in the manual that you can override t...

Re: Who still got software 2.1 in their id3s?
Finally updated to 2.3 over the air! 2.1 was installed in a 3 day dealer visit last year. Received the 2.3 update invitation email in October 2021 and accepted. Car several times thereafter attempted the OTA software install but failed each time. SOS fault entailed a replacement comms module in a 5 ...

Re: Understanding the info screen / range / MP?
For me the guess-o-meter varies quite a bit even whilst the battery percentage charge remains constant. I doubt that what you are seeing is anything to do with the battery draining. Rather, as I understand, it might be more to do with changes in the external and battery temperature. Can’t be sure bu...

Re: Do you follow VW advice on battery charging?
Yes, 80 miles is what I experience from 40% of the stated battery capacity in winter temperatures. That is charging to a maximum of 80% and not dropping below 40% That would be a strict reading of VW’s advice of course. I accept that one can operate outside of this and have done so when journeys req...

Re: Software 2.4 rollout delayed
I understood this recall was also due to replace the 12v battery and associated systems on earlier cars as well as the update to 2.4. After six months of waiting, my car still hasn’t updated to 2.3 over the air or as was promised by the dealer when replacing the SOS module. I was hoping to go straig...

Re: Do you follow VW advice on battery charging?
Following VW’s advice I find my car has a practical range of 150 miles in summer and only 80 miles in winter. A far cry from the 267 miles prominently featured in their marketing materials. One would think they could provide rather more detail to their recommendations. Anyway, that is adequate for m...

Re: SOS not working, amber
Can't make any suggestions I'm afraid but here is my experience for what its worth. I had a problem with an "SOS fault" which eventually required the communications module to be changed; or that's what I was told. The car went in on the 9th December 2021 for diagnosis; SOS showing amber li...
