Lester wrote: Thu Mar 28, 2024 9:17 am Before I decide how to respond to this, I'd like to know if other owners were supplied with a charging lead, or am I the only one who didn't get one?
Yes, I had a type 2 included; I believe this was the original spec.

Re: Mobile Phone Signal

Network surely? That was my first thought, but their website (Vodafone) and coverage maps suggest otherwise. Unless it's very local and not reported. Just wondered if this had been seen by others. I've signed up, but don't know if I'll get the 3.2.1 OTA update if the signal is that poor. Local smar...

Mobile Phone Signal

Recently, in the last couple of weeks, I noticed that the indicator on the main screen changed from 4G to E in terms of signal (same number of bars as before). I still get the appropriate number of bars - 2 at home and all 4/5 in our local village. I just checked with the likes of Vodafone etc. and ...

Re: Software Update

I got a message about a software update, just as I had to get out of the car and drop my wife off. When I got back in I could not find it again. No idea what it was supposed to update. Top right of the screen is a message icon, it displays how many messages you have. Click on that and you should se...

Just been for a short drive. Came back, the flap now opens and closes normally!
I've charged overnight in the rain many times, but this is the first time with a frost; perhaps that was it.
Either way it's now working properly - we live and learn ...

Finally got it to stay shut with gentle pushing. Locked the car, then unlocked it again, now the flap won't open! Grrrr

Charge Flap will not stay shut!

I charged my car at home last night. The vehicle was completely covered in frost this morning. I've just been out to remove the charge cable but didn't notice an unlocking click (double click on the key). The cable came out and I pushed the flap to the closed position. I then wrapped up the charging...

Hi g320y
Welcome to the forum!
If you ever plan to come to Scotland I suggest you get, in advance, the ChargePlaceScotland RFID card.
Most public chargers here don't take debit/credit cards at all.

Re: ID Light on facelift model.

Unfortunately the red emergency brake light is a pain on single track roads (with passing places). Where I live, most roads are single track; normal practice sees drivers adjusting speed slightly to coincide with an oncoming vehicle at the passing place. This means neither of us has to stop, simply ...

Is not having locking wheel nuts illegal? I cannot find an answer to this - seems it was only to prevent theft - not a safety issue.

Yes indeed - if your id3 has this option, you select from the infotainment screen and for 'mode' you will see the option of 'individual' where you can set a number of items to suit your style of driving Many thanks - does it "stick" between getting in and out of the car? Variable damping ...

Re: OBD11 after the dealership software upgrade from 2.4 to 3.2

As this is supposed to be a safety measure is your insurance still valid if you turn it off using OBD? As it's possible to turn it off manually, then I'd say the insurance is still valid. It's a driver choice for any given situation. When an oncoming large vehicle dominates the road (I'm talking an...
