Re: Driving on snow
I put on the winter wheels with Bridgestones two weeks ago and just in good time, living in North East of Scotland. Mainly driving on mix of treated / untreated roads with ice but not too much snow at the moment. Car has felt balanced and solid with these on, no slips or slides so far. Heavier snow ...

Re: Dashcam
I got my Thinkware Q800 Pro hard wired by RAC when we got our T-Roc 4 years ago but swapped it over to the ID myself this time after watching the installer and some excellent vids on YouTube. Piggybacked it to the fuse box but had devil of job finding fuse allowing correct orientation for the lead. ...

Re: Safety Fail. driver side door open and car moves off
We reverse park our ID3 in the garage every night and use this "feature" by just operating the door handle enough to get the red door open warning light to come on which overrides the auto hold without having to wait on the menu to boot up and manually deselect auto hold. I found this out ...

Re: Portable inflator
I also got an inflator with the car but have had a Makita 18v LXT Inflator for three years or so. I've a few battery tools of same brand so easy enough to charge and swap out the battery as needed. If you have any the same then worth a look but if not, then a battery and charger will be needed and n...

Re: Auto hold and park asssist
Hi there, We reverse park our ID3 in the garage every night and agree that auto hold can be a right pain. You don't need to go through the swipe down menu route especially if you are nipping out just to park the car and hate waiting for the boot up menu to go through its stuff. Just operate the door...

Re: Wheels On - Wheels Off
They are MSW 79 Gloss Dark Grey in exactly same size and offset as the East Derry's. They also come in Gloss Black Full Polished. I've got them fitted with Blizzak LM005 tyres which come with full depth tread unlike the original Bridgestones as supplied by VW for the East Derry.

Wheels On - Wheels Off
Finally received our Family Pro on 10th March but as I only arrived back in UK last week, have only driven it a few times. Delighted with it so far, as is the rest of the Mob ! The car arrived after I'd left for work end of Feb so didn't get the winter wheels fitted, so that's what I've just done to...
