Re: Rear windows (child lock)

Must admit that I rarely have people in the back of the car so apologies if my understanding is wrong. I thought that if the driver pressed REAR, it enabled the driver to open and close the rear windows if there was no one in the back to do it or was unable to do it. However, there are window button...

Think it is going to be £180 but higher for more expensive cars.

Re: Vehicle data - efficiency

It’s not just the ID.3 that does this. I’ve had several Audi cars in the past 12 years-A5’s, A7’s and an A8. They all did this. The distance accumulated for journeys with short stops but was back to zero if a couple of hours had elapsed. Just didn’t want people to think it was just the ID.3-wanted t...

Re: Instrument binacle

Yes. On the steering wheel, look at the haptic buttons on the right hand side-where the volume buttons are. In the middle of the cluster is the button that says ‘OK” on it. By pressing this you can scroll through-long term, short term and since charge. Hope this works. It did for me.

I wouldn’t be happy with this. I’d want a specific number-the exact degradation.

Re: Incorrect range reported in the App.

I think that VW may have resolved this issue now-as of today. Just charged my car and the app mileage agrees with the car. After 2 hours, it still agrees. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Re: New ID.3 Owner, family spec question

There are so many used cars coming onto the market now so it may be best to seek an alternative one that has all the things on your wish list. You don’t want to have regrets in a few weeks/months time.

Re: Can adaptive cruise control be installed later?

Welcome.

I took delivery of an ID3 Life Pro Performance 58 kWh battery back in March 2022 (ordered August 2021). I got the cheapest/base model and it has ACC. I thought it was just standard! Surely if it’s on the base model, it should be on all ID3s!!!!

I ordered 2 of these from Amazon for my key fobs. A bit pricey but I think they are worth it. They are leather, look stylish, feel good in the hand and the entire fob fits in.

Re: Lose app after 3rd year?

Isn’t the We Connect app free for the life time of the car/ownership but We Connect Plus free for the first 3 years but after 3 years you start to pay for it-if you choose to? My understanding is that the basic app We Connect is always free. The We Connect Plus has all the live traffic updates-road ...

Re: Disastrous software problem after 6 days!

If your problem is two blank screens, some people say it was fixed by resetting the infotainment (press and hold the power button on the bottom left of the screen for 15-20 seconds.) Others said this didn't work but they got it working again by disconnecting the 12V battery for a minute and then re...

Re: Disastrous software problem after 6 days!

Morning all. Just got up early to have a trip out on a lovely Sunday. Both screens are blank. Need screen to see the SAT NAV so my trip is off. Need to be able to see the speed I’m going-but can’t. I’ve tried to power the infotainment system on and off but that’s not working too! Any advice would be...

Re: Post 3.2 Glitches & Charging ignoring max charge limit ?

My car has just had the latest software update. Everything is working fine-so far. Not had to charge yet as the dealership handed it back almost fully charged. One thing I have noticed though is that the air conditioning has been updated. I ordered the Life Pro Performance which just had the classic...

Re: Hello

Glad you like it! I’ve had my ID.3 almost 18 months now. It’s been great and I’ve had no problems. I prefer the exterior look of my old ID.3 to the facelift version. For me, the black plastic on the bonnet makes it more aesthetically pleasing and I love the turquoise colour. The facelift version loo...

Re: Ineffective Air Conditioning

Not happy with my air conditioning. Blows out warm air even on LO. I’ve had to open the windows to cool down and hate doing this as I like to be cocooned in my car- not hearing noisy cars and breathing in car fumes. Will mention it to VW dealership when I take my car in next month for a different is...
