Re: D Mode braking inconsistent

I usually drive in B mode because I thought the brakes in D mode seemed weak and you have to break more than you think. Does surprise me at times. I want to use D mode more so I think it’s something I need to get used to and more confident with. Hopefully those who prefer to drive in D mode will be ...

Re: Another ID.3 Newbie, ex Peugeot e-208

Thanks for the updates. Glad you are enjoying the ID3 and not missing the e208. 100% not missing it. Just drove from York to Glasgow. Stopped at Carlisle to walk the dog and have a coffee. Car was ready to go before me. And compared to ABRP I had 16% more battery - I did use the ACC most of the way...

Re: Charged to 100%

I’ve often wondered about this as we can’t truly charge the battery to 100%, only what vw have decided is the “usable” capacity (58 of 62). This is such a great question! Would love to know about that. I rarely need to charge to 100% anyway, and we don't as we are told not to so as to increase the ...

Good day! I have exactly the same problem, first the connection with the car was lost, then the GPS, if anyone has a solution to the problem, please write. Have you tried the solution suggested by Ted-remove the fuse, wait for a few minutes then put the fuse back in? It sorted out my connection to ...

Hi guys Unfortunately there is an issue with my id3, being the error : drive system. please visit workshop problem. Re: Car is online but app says it isn't

Car offfline for 3days and 22hrs. Greyed out globe and signal indicator with an E. App says vehicle has no internet connection. In the area of Bristol airport. Car used daily in 60mile commute so plenty of oppertunity to find signal in a commute where signal existed for last 4 years. VW customer co...

Re: Potential ID3 Owner

Thanks very much for the advice. Well I took the plunge and ordered the ID3. It's reassuring to know about the battery. We are looking into getting a home charger installed. As part of the Approved Used VW deal we got 2 free services thrown in and a total of 3 years warranty and the remaining 6 yea...

Re: Shopped around for service - £244 from VW dealer

I think it's unlikely the garage will do the update. It's meant to be done ota at home so the garage may not be able to charge their time for doing it back to VW. I think they normally only do it if (1) there is a fault covered by warranty that the update might fix or (2) the car is still on <3.2 (...

Dash Camera fitted by VW dealership

Morning everyone and happy new year. I’m wanting a dash cam fitted in my ID3 and this is something I can’t do myself and want professionally done. My VW dealership fit the Nextbase 522 GW and it will cost £279 with everything included- kit and fitting. For some reason I’m a bit nervous about getting...

Re: The infrastructure just isn't really there

I’ve enjoyed using Apple Maps over the past few days. As I was following its route on the motorway to my destination, I realised that the car might not have been able to reach my chosen charging site. I therefore decided to find a nearer charger by pressing ‘Add stops’ and then ‘Charging locations’ ...

Although the EV OTM sites appear to charge 65p/kWh so perhaps there aren’t the ones you mean! 😂 [/quote] Yep it was EV on the move. Strangely, within the same 3 square miles there were two at 65p and this one at 49p all under the EVontheM banner. The latter was different in that it sad 'Tesla' on t...

Re: Finding cheap chargers

If you go on the Tesla website (tesla.com/en_gb)-not the Tesla app-at the top right of the screen is the ‘Menu’. Select this and then ‘Charging’. Then select ‘Supercharging’. If you scroll down you will see a map of Europe with all the Superchargers. There should be a title ‘Locations Go Anywhere’....
