Re: Winter range
I also notice a significant miles per kWh drop in winter and I put that down mainly to the heating. Which actually raises a question? How on earth do I get the car to remember the heating setting I had last time? Getting in the car and setting off it seems to default to 22degC with the A/C on (for ...

Re: Replacement windscreen problems
Thank you for forwarding that. Seems like they have done exactly the same to me. Have raised the issue with National Windscreens and the manager says he will get an original VW windscreen and redo the whole job. I hope they do it right this time!!

Re: Replacement windscreen problems
Did you get an original VW windscreen? LV policy indicated replacements were only guaranteed to be "equivalent quality"

Replacement windscreen problems
Just had to have a new windscreen on my ID3 Performance Pro. Had it done under the insurance and LV mandated that I went to National Windscreens. They did a poor job. They have done goodness knows what with the rain sensor and I am now getting front assist warnings that it is not fully functional, c...

Re: Phantom braking
I have ACC enabled but without a speed set. That means it will regeneratively break but will not accelerate. This is perfect for me and Dorset rural driving. It slows down at exactly the optimum rate when approaching a 40mph or 30mph restriction, it slows down automatically for roundabouts and junct...

Re: Has anyone tried Plug and Charge?
So, am I to understand that if I am already set up with the Electroverse Plug & Charge certificate installed in the car, which went seamlessly yesterday evening, that I shouldn't try and install the We Charge by Elli certificate? I did start to do this, and it went a lot slower than Electroverse...

Re: Has anyone tried Plug and Charge?
From the Electroverse website,
https://electroverse.octopus.energy/com ... and-charge
I just registered and got the certificate installed in the car via the WeConnect app. All done without any problems in a minute or two.

Has anyone tried Plug and Charge?
Off to the continent this weekend so googling around on the latest regarding charging. I don't charge very often away from home but my preferred app is Electroverse as I am an Octopus customer, have the Electroverse app and the card if necessary. Anyway, just stumbled across this, actually from Apri...

Re: Digital Instrument Cluster question
Many thanks to Sidehaas for the answer. Thought I had tried everything including rubbing my tummy while patting my head, but obviously missed pressing the OK button. Scrolling left or right with the view button gives various combinations of information on the instrument cluster. I have 3.2.0 softwar...

Digital Instrument Cluster question
Sorry for a mundane question but trying to solve this is sending me crazy. This is the way I had my instrument cluster with part of it showing "since start" consumption. A couple of days ago it switched to showing "long term" consumption. I have "since start" in the big...

Re: Switch between D and B .. and back
After trying both for a while I drive only in D now. I do believe it is more efficient to coast rather than recover/regen. In addition my wife says B gives too jerky a ride. I also have ACC "background enabled" all the time. It shows as a grey icon not green. In this mode it slows the car ...

Startup Nags
PXL_20230314_161620553.jpg How on earth do I get rid of this startup nag? It comes up every time and even though I OK it it comes up again the next time. Also is it possible to have a default user profile and not be asked to confirm that I am me every time? I am finding it very irritating that I ha...

Re: Replacement R18 Tyres for ID3?
From seeing a low tyre pressure warning to being able to pull in at a garage and see the tyre fully flat was maybe 10 miles (dark country roads where you can't stop). So we were likely running flat a few miles. Don't think that would have done much for the long term life of the tyre. Shouts replace ...

Does ACC see traffic lights? How to try out ACC without pranging it?
Just getting used to the car after a week. Trying out ACC in an urban setting with 30mph/40mph zones and it seems to slow down and speed up accordingly to the road signs. However, I would like to know if it can see traffic lights. I was trundling along at 30mph this afternoon towards red traffic lig...

Re: Replacement R18 Tyres for ID3?
My car is 8 days old and we got a puncture and fully flat tyre. First flat in 45 years of driving! Thanks are due to a farmer who coated the local village roads with sharp flint laden mud. I must praise VW assistance though who managed to plug the tyre and get us mobile again. The EcoContact 6 tyres...

What is "VE: special goodwill 2023 I"??
Had the car nearly a week now. Very positive so far except for "Lane assist". Dorset country roads mean it feels like you are hitting a patch of ice every so often as the steering wheel twitches!!! Anyway it was not quite clear to me what features my Family Pro Performance has and doesn't ...

Collected my build wk3 Family Pro Performance today. Very happy it is here at last! One hour handover from the dealer so head still spinning. Celebrations this evening!
