Re: Saving preferences

No, I specifically mean that the setting in Vehicle > Exterior > Mirror for dip on reverse reverts back to off, after I have explicitly turned it on. This is separate to the needing to turn the mirror knob every time, which is the second level of "oh my goodness, how is it possible they ever le...

Re: Saving preferences

Assuming you have 3.0+ software version? My car came with 3.0 from the factory and it's had these sorts of gremlins since day 1. Some settings I've changed seem to have stuck, but mostly they just get reset every time I get out the car, it's pretty infuriating, including wing-mirror dip on reverse d...

Re: "You need to log in again" notification spam

I removed the main user (which resets the system) and removed the car from the phone app as well, then set it all back up again and it 'fixed' this particularly issue. I still get the annoying 'You have new settings' spam though. I dread to think how the system has been designed behind the scenes, i...

Re: "You need to log in again" notification spam

Correct, this was a 3.0 from the factory. Hopefully my experience can temper your enthusiasm for the upgrade. Yes some things will be added and some things may be fixed, but I can assure you there are still LOTS of bugs in 3.0. It's a shame really, the mechanics of the car are great but the software...

"You need to log in again" notification spam

Since the weekend I keep receiving notifications saying "You need to log in again. Please enter your login details". These stack up in short succession until I have between 4-8 of them in the notification tray. The notification says that I haven't used the car for some time and need to log...

Re: Further reduction in the number of variants [of ID models]

Yes, I think subscription is what the euro with the circular arrow is indicating at.

Amusingly this slide seems to suggest they can go from ID3/4/5 and Buzz down to one single 2nd Wave ID. Perhaps if you pay enough on the monthly fee it can transform into different shapes at will :)

Re: Emergency braking overly sensitive, can you turn it off permanently?

I'm pretty sure it's not auto hold. I would expect that to only trigger when the car is actually stationary. Apart from the speed bump issue today, all the issues have been when reversing into drive and getting close to foliage.

Re: Emergency braking overly sensitive, can you turn it off permanently?

Thanks G43FAN I've just looked up a video and it seems 'manoeuvre braking' matches the behaviour. Can I turn it off permanently? As mentioned my experience with it so far has been that it's way too sensitive and is causing more problems than benefit.

Re: Emergency braking overly sensitive, can you turn it off permanently?

Thanks sidehaas, as mentioned I've tried turning it off in the Assist menu, but it just turns itself back on each time I get in the car. It's a 22.5 with 3.0 so I don't know whether the issue is the settings not being saved on 3.0 or a general thing where it's not possible to turn off the emergency ...

Emergency braking overly sensitive, can you turn it off permanently?

The automatic emergency braking system is overly sensitive and regularly triggers when I'm reversing into our drive despite having good clearance. Today it decided to trigger right before a speed bump in a car park despite going slowly. I've tried turning it off in the assist settings but it just tu...

Re: 6+1 Audio System - opinions please

If it's the same as the upgrade I got with the HUD system (Technology pack I think) on our Family, no it's pretty rubbish. In the original launch they were supposed to have a Beats system with a subwoofer but somewhere along the line they removed the subwoofer and it became this '6+1' which is 2 ful...

Re: Bridgestone Turanza Eco 215/55R18 95T (B-Seal)?

How do you check whether the tyres have B-seal?

My ID3 came with Bridgestone Turanza 18" and no tyre mobility kit.

Re: New user settings notification

I don't have it quite as frequently as you, but do fairly regularly get the notification about new user settings. I accept and it goes away for that drive. First time I noticed it actually changing something was yesterday when I had air con turned off and accepting the settings turned it back. Are y...

Re: Delivery time

Confirmed I will collect mine on Mon 20th June. Seen a picture and has the infamous Bridgestones but otherwise I'm excited :) Btw, in the spreadsheet I think it had me down as 'motability' in the notes. Sorry to say this isn't a motability purchase, I know there have been some extra delays for peopl...

Re: Delivery time

Just checked the spreadsheet and I think there was some confusion as my last update on 28th March was that it was Status 20 build week 19. So that would be 3 weeks...but still does seem unusually fast. Given the history in this thread, maybe the next update will be that the car no longer exists. Hop...

Re: Delivery time

Decided to send the monthly email to my dealer and received a pleasant surprise. Car is apparently at UK docks  sadly won't be able to pick it up for a couple of weeks and just after I've shelled out for MOT, new tyres and filled up the tank on my current car :( Will confirm once received it,...

Re: Delivery time

Update from dealer today, I now have a 'confirmed' build week of 19 May. They did warn however that they still have cars with earlier 'confirmed' build weeks that are still not built, so it's nice to at least see they're acknowledging that it's an unpredictable mess :) Still hoping to see a MY22.5 i...

Re: Delivery time

I haven't bothered my dealer for an update since the Ukraine crisis. Decided to search for news on Zwickau production and came across this today https://europe.autonews.com/automakers/vw-will-ramp-wolfsburg-output-after-ukraine-supply-disruption "Zwickau, which produces VW, Audi and Seat Cupra ...
