Re: Aircon stopped working again
That’s very irritating! I had a complete infotainment screen blackout this week which corrected after an ‘ID3 nap’. The lack of aircon, directed air was the main issue of course. I think I did something slightly unusual re button clicking before it happened so I guess there’s still a few bugs around...

Re: Another New Member and ID.3 Owner
Greetings All, Took ownership of my (nearly new) ID.3 Life Pro at the end of May. I did look at alternatives: Hyundai Kona (didn't like the drive, felt clumsy and jerky) Cupra Born (really liked it but it didn't "feel right") Experience to date has been great with only a few minor issues ...

Re: 3.0 Software announcement tomorrow?
When the dealer network is under significant pressure re 2.4 does it really make sense to drop 3.0 any time soon? Sure it’s OTA but will obviously lead to some issues and questions being pushed on the dealers who already struggling and under skilled and under staffed. I guess the answer is it won’t ...

Re: Wallbox Pulsar Plus Best Amperage Setting for 56kw battery
Btw I have been using a Wallbox pulsar plus with my ID3 for 18 months now. At 32amps!
It’s been very reliable the only major issue is wifi access. That’s rather flakey. So I do any changes, updates etc via Bluetooth.

Re: Wallbox Pulsar Plus Best Amperage Setting for 56kw battery
My man maths says
Power = Current x Voltage
If AC voltage is 230v and current is 23amp means supplying 5.3kw. For 32amp it will be 7.4 kw.
So at 32amp it should be around 50% quicker charging.
* not counting losses
** the car can charge up to 11kw AC

Re: Scheduled Charging
Similar issues here, on both our PodPoint and Ohme when you set the chargers to schedule at 00:30 to 04:30 my car only charges at 4kw, that's knky 15kw per 4 hours which is far too slow. My wife's Corsa E charges fine at the right speed on both chargers. I have now resorted to leaving the chargers ...

Re: Scheduled Charging
I have a First Edition ID.3 with the latest software update (3.0) which I hoped would resolve the location charging function not working. My locations still erase themselves regularly and when they don't, charging to the set % and finish time does not work. I can only charge when the locations and ...

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement
It sounds like 3.0 could actually come straight after 2.4. I'm not on Facebook though. Has anyone on there mentioned if they've got the OTA yet? Does it really make sense to release 3.0 when 2.4 is putting significant pressure on the dealer network?. Yes it’s OTA but undoubtedly there will be issue...

Re: Winter tyres on the id.3
The rear wheel drive ‘issue’ in slippery conditions is only relevant to ICE cars, where the weight is front loaded in the engine bay. The ID3 has a distributed weight and I believe that’s not relevant. In terms of tyres I would always go Michelin cross climates. They are great allrounders and pretty...

Re: Update for 2.4 is stuck/uncompleted for more than 1 week
I suggest you edit the title of this because it is simply incorrect.
It will be the WeCharge app update. Which is frustratingly clunky but will sort itself out.

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement
Ps. It’s likely I will be getting a Niro EV in September so I will likely abort my 2.4 upgrade booking- what’s the point in taking the risk when I’m about to sell my ID3? I’ll do a couple of posts on ID3 vs Niro EV once I get it for interest. Maybe I’ll regret it, the ID3 has been literally really s...

I doubt things are quite as bad as the impression on here but in the end it’s about trust and confidence. I know you were simply trying to see things with a glass half full...but it's funny to read your comment and then see a series of posts complaining either about the update or problems caused by...

Re: So much wrong with this car - Now mould on carpet
It is a generally very good car.
I turned off voice control about a year ago because it was annoyingly hopeless.
Ive never had a problem with Apple CarPlay under 2.1 or 2.3.
I’ve never heard of leaks before, the hardware engineering is usually excellent.
Sounds like you got a wrong un.

Re: Location data dropping out.
One question, after prolonged driving at motorway speeds, charging to 80% now gives 188 miles predicted range - a big drop from the 220ish we saw before we left. Can I expect this to increase once we return to our usual local driving pattern? Yes the GOM will quickly return to your ‘typical’ estima...

Re: Is now the time to pull the trigger on an ID3 order?
Thanks both. I'm not in a hurry and I was thinking that arrival next spring would be about right. I agree the timing isn't as good as it was for buying, though it's unclear with current inflation that it'll get much better soon. One broker is offering 4.5% off without a penalty for not taking PCP, ...

Re: Is now the time to pull the trigger on an ID3 order?
A base ID3 is a good solid choice. Plenty of standard kit, very nice build and performance, ‘competitive’ price. Absolutely a sellers market so no real price incentives. The best you can probably do is look at Motorway to sell rather than trade in. I’d check on the latest delivery times with a deale...

Re: Location data dropping out.
On my trip through France speed detection frequently didn’t work on my Id3. I never really got to the bottom of it. The French really don’t like car radars and like maybe they have magic signs
On loss of location data I have lost GPS a couple of times I guess it can happen. Rarely.
