Re: Incorrect range shown in App
A similar irritation for me is when the navigation tells me it's a mile to the junction when you are clearly 1km away.

Re: Keyless Entry Stopped Working
On my original 1st Edition the keyless system became erratic sometimes not working. After being at the dealership for a few weeks the Kessey (keyless controller) was replaced and it cured the problems.

Re: Service costs - they must be joking
Frankly most of this is covered by a MOT test that costs around £50. There's a brake fluid change but even with that you'd be hard to justify that price. Why do you need to measure the brake discs and pads at 20,000 miles on an EV? There will barely be a mark on them.

Re: New delivery: Rattle sound
The sun shade for the glass roof on my Family pro has a rattle that comes from the rear when it's closed only. One for the dealership when I take it for it's first service. I've also got an issue with the SAT nav when on sub zero days where it occasionally gets the location wrong which is down right...

Re: VW Empty Promises True Or False
The OTA updates have also been a bit of a false promise. Many cars had to have the ECU updated before the first OTA update which was very underwhelming, 3.0 has been rolling out for months and new cars from the factory are being delivered with 3.2. Not the roll out of new features on a regular basis...

Re: Windscreen washer fuse
I can't see the location listed on the location map link, I would expect it to be in the engine compartment fuse box. It's probably worth popping the cover off and having a look to see if you can see the blown fuse, it's probably one of the ones the ones that doesn't have a description by it.

Re: For octopus customers
Although Intelligent is a variable rate, it hasn't changed in the 10 weeks or so since it was first quoted as a replacement for Go faster when my fixed deal on that came to an end. It'll be interesting to see if Octopus change it in the next few weeks if the tracker rate continues to stay significan...

Re: For octopus customers
I'm on Intelligent Octopus, and it works with my ID.3. My charger's an Ohme home pro. I've been on the tariff for about a month. It was a bit of a faff to set it up, but once done I've not had any problems.

Re: please clean the parking sensors?
More often than not parking sensor failure is due to moisture ingress. As your car's still in warranty get your dealer to look ar it.
If a car's not under warranty it's worth giving the front of the sensors a squirt of WD40, it repels water well. It might well work!

It's part of the Comfort pack plus option, fitted as standard in Family, Max and Tour models, it was also in the 1st edition.

Sat Nav. troubles.
When it was sub zero yesterday morning, the Sat Nav. on my car threw a real hissy fit, at one point it put me about 4 miles further east than my actual position. Once it had warmed up a bit it sorted itself out but I suspect at some time the shark's fin antenna unit will need to be changed. Not grea...

Re: 1 hour, 30 miles into ownership and the front safety camera has failed
I've had the front assist error messages on both of my ID.3's first thing when it's cold, even though I've cleared the ice from the camera, I just presumed it's the Lidar sensor that's triggering the error. It clears after a few minutes. Having seen the windscreen replaced on my old ID.3, the camera...

Re: Charging speed in the cold
Over Christmas we drove over to the in-laws in Wales and arrived with around 15% battery charge. In the morning (around 3 degrees C). i drove the car a couple of miles over to the local Pod-point and plugged in. It charged at the full 50kW that the charger could supply straight away and continued to...

Re: V3.2 software.
Sorry if I've detailed some of the things that have been added in 3.0 and 3.1, going to a new car, I've jumped from 2.3 to 3.2. This was just my observations of the differences. I've by no means extensively gone through every screen. My intention was just to start of a 3.2 discussion as many will no...

V3.2 software.
As my new car has come with V3.2 software I thought I would start off the discussion of what's changed. I probably haven't noticed everything. The vehicle and charging functions have been separated. The vehicle button can be accessed by pressing the home button when in the home screen to bring up al...

Put a light smear of silicone based polish on the rubber and it will stop it from sticking.

Re: How to defrost....
The fuse to pull is 19 remove it for a few seconds and re-install. Avoid removing the 12V battery connection, your car will throw up lots of error messages. The car automatically resets the comms unit every 8 days so alternatively you can just wait and it should come back by itself. My old ID.3 did ...
