Re: Charging failures following recent WeCharge OTA updates
I have had a series of problems with my iD3/Zappi2 faiing at various points - the latest being a failure to start the scheduled charge at 0030 as set despite everything being, apparently, set to go. I now set the alarm to wake me up to check that it has started then starting fast charge manually and...

Re: Service costs - they must be joking
Anyone know what is required from a service to meet the terms of a Service for Warranty and Finance? It can't be necessary to look at the lights and tyres which I do regularly anyway. Much of this is so much BS to make it look as though they are doing something. I mean, I do keep the washer fluid to...

Service costs - they must be joking
Having received an email reminding me that the 20,000 mile service is due, I rang to book in and requested a cost breakdown. No such price breakdown, just the total of £307 and this list: ID.3 Service breakdown Vehicle interior Interior lights: check function of headliner, luggage compartment and gl...

Re: ID3 charging with a Zappi
It's reassuring to hear that others have the same proplem and that it will, perhaps, be cured by the update. Mine has gone a few steps worse now and is now only taking 1.2kW even though set on Fast. The grid is being well fed though as it is a clear skied, sunny day and I am getting 1.2 to the car a...

Re: ID3 charging with a Zappi
I've now totally confused myself by plugging into the 13amp socket charger, thus bypassing the Zappi. This appears to be working but I am not sure what it proves. I can't keep an eye on it without sitting in the car. Is it showing the Zappi to be at fault? The Service Manager at the dealership seeme...

Re: ELECTRIC DRIVE NOT WORKING MESSAGE
I was told that this can happen when you switch on and pull away in quick succession. So the car has not had time to fully switch on. I recognise this from the one time it happened and now give it a moment to "wake up" before engaging gear and pulling away. No further problems.

Re: ID3 charging with a Zappi
I have been having similar issues. Here are the boring details - I have a Zappi with an economy7 tariff, so I set the timer on Zappi to charge overnight. I also have solar panels and want it to charge when I have an excess of 1.4kW or more. The problem is that after a charge, when something like a ...

Electric drive not working
Yikes! It is moving but for how long? It's booked in as advised but not until Thursday and I'm not sure if it will drive until then.
Anyone know anything about this circumstance?

Recent upgrade - what can I expect to have changed?
Hi
I have just picked up my car following the VW software upgrade. They didn't seem to have a clue what will have changed and I was wondering whether anyone here further into the new software has any knowledge of what I might expect.
Many thanks

Oh, lord! Just when I thought it was safe to order the Continentals. How can they be making top end tyres that are too thin to resist punctures?

Re: Front windscreen fan + heating
Except that when you switch off at the max demist button on the panel, it doesn't switch off everything it has switched on and you have to go into clima to do that fully. I spend far too much time doing that and it can only get worse through the winter as the range decreases anyway. It turns off Ma...

Re: New rear tyres at 12000? Really?
He told me it was 1.6.
If I am going to change tyre, are there any recommendations for something other than Bridgestone? With more tread to start with, perhaps.

Re: New rear tyres at 12000? Really?
Research on line seems to suggest that they should last longer because they are made to withstand the additional weight they are carrying but I'd love to know how long the tyres are lasting for other people.

New rear tyres at 12000? Really?
I've just been advised that my rear tyres need replacing. The car has done just over 12,000 miles. The car was in for the software update otherwise I would not have even thought about checking them yet.

Re: Insurance renewal - Ouch!
I have been shopping around and the price quoted (£445 last year, £575 this year) is currently the best available. No-one can explain why the increase. No changes to my self or my policy requirements. I was quoted over £1000 by one company. Even they couldn't understand why. Can anyone recommend any...

Insurance renewal - Ouch!
I've just been quoted for a £125 increase in my insurance premium. Has anyone else come across this slap in the face?
