Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Either brake pedal switch not engaging thus not activating drive mode selector, or the ignition switch is dodgy?

Re: Car won't start/go in to drive. Wife is stuck!

Little update: AA have been out. We tried a reset, disconnected the 12V battery and synced the keys. Car is still dead. Systems that ARE working: Infotainment Climate Central locking HV charging Systems that ARE NOT working: Basically everything else but specifically; Ignition button Drive mode sele...

Re: Car won't start/go in to drive. Wife is stuck!

I'm back and in the car. It seems that the issue is the ignition will not switch on. Infotainment is working. Climate is working. Charging is working but when I try and view vehicle data I get the message "This function is only available when the ignition is switched on." I've tried puttin...

Re: Car won't start/go in to drive. Wife is stuck!

Bit late now but any joy? Leaving locked for 30mins or so would be the only advice really. Unfortunately there have been some Drive selector failures (I had one) and the car is essentially stuck if it happens. She's given up with no joy. I'm in Italy so will have to try on the weekend when I get ba...

Car won't start/go in to drive. Wife is stuck!

Hi Guys

A bit urgent! Wife is stuck at the shops as car won't go in to drive and screens are very slow. Any immediate things to try before calling SOS? Is there a reset procedure?

Thanks

Re: Selling ID3 through Motorway, anyone?

I've fitted a few Easee chargers lately and it's what I've got at home. Very quick and easy to install and setup. Manufactured in Norway and they know a thing or too about electric vehicles. Very reasonably priced too, approximately £500+vat if you have a decent wholesaler.

Also forgot to mention, I had to drop him to the train station which definitely wasn't mentioned when the delivery was arranged but very much expected by the driver.

Re: Driven delivery 192 miles?

Our's was delivered with 254 delivery miles. Crewe to Tunbridge Wells. The driver stopped and charged about 100 miles from us so we had a good 50% when he got here. The drivers will charge it, just like they'd put fuel in if it was an ICE.

Re: Delivery time

Think the driving force behind me wanting to make a decision is if I order it now it will be here in March... My current lease goes back in march but it's a big beast of a motor... Probably more than I need. Head and Money says hold out for the Id.3 and heart says buy the Tesla as it's rapid and ha...

Re: Bike Transport retrofit

Casparh, do you mean the id3 transport hitch? If so, ring around a few VW dealers - I found my supplying dealer quoted a stupid price, another not-local dealer did the the job for ~£900 IIRC. They also did a very neat installation. Many dealers subcontract this type of work to peripatetic towbar sp...

Re: Bike Transport retrofit

I hate to drag up an old topic but how/where can i get a bike carrier retrofitted? I've spoken to a few towbar companies locally and they don't have any info/experience.

Re: Stolen wheels

Locking wheel nuts are easily defeated with the correct tool. Tilt sensor alarms are easily defeated by jacking all 4 corners at once. I don't have any advice for preventing it for happening again I'm afraid, but I am curious as to why they chose an ID as none of the alloy wheel options are unique o...

Re: Driving on snow

We were out this afternoon before it started snowing. Headed home as soon as we could and it was coming down heavily by the time we got to the bottom of the hill we live on. There was probably 2-3cm maximum of fresh and the car was awful, back end sliding all over the place. About 50m from the top i...

I'd second that. Just check what rating the RCBO is. It should be 40 Amp for a 7Kw charger.

Profiles and PINs

Apologies if this has been answered over and over. Is it necessary to set up a driver profile? If I don't then what am I potentially missing out on? Needing to type in a PIN each time I get in is starting to grate.

I've also called Hastings to arrange the insurance, £24 a month!! Ho is that even possible? Just got to get the charger fitted this weekend a...
