They don't seem to even have an estimate for mime, so perhaps consider yourself lucky with that October date. I was originally told November but it's been very vague since.

With some people being pushed to next year I decided to chase for an update this morning. It was a non update basically:

"Your ID.3 has not been issued a confirmed build date yet. This is very normal for VW as this will not be issued until closer to the time."

I haven't heard in anything in over a month. I will probably leave them for another month and then ask them for an update from the dealer to see if anything has changed. I expect it'll be status 00 still. By the looks of it they seem to be building plenty of Family specs lately but no max or tours.

That sounds like you've been done over as the Life spec of 2022 should come with all that. I'd be complaining and asking for the correct spec or some kind of compensation

Engineering of Teslas may be good but the build quality is known to be terrible at times. Granted they've not got as long history making cars as VW.

I think the problem with it is more the fact that they're deciding to build the cars with the hardware already there, so the 'subscription' is merely a software barrier to using something your car already is capable of. Presumably this pushes up the cost of building the car for something some people...

As a software engineer if you optimize well, you can make something run better on lower spec hardware. Or you can make badly optimized software run better by throwing better hardware it... unfortunately VW has done neither of these at the moment.

Spider is making use of my Hypervolt now also. I know it works at least as my grandad used it once to charge his hybrid. For me it's more of a wall ornament I use to light up my driveway. Neighbour asked me if my Golf TDI is electric

I would've been happy with a Max but I couldn't live with cheap wheel trims and Plan didn't have any with alloys. At least the tour comes with them as standard

I had a Life Pro Performance on order but the deal Plan offered on the Tour was considerably less a month so I snapped it up. I couldn't remember the last time I used all 5 seats in my current Golf so figured I could lose a seat for the extra gadgets
