Re: ID.3 - charging continues after scheduled end
Mine (id3) charges to 80% and the car stops the charge which is what I want, but no matter how much I am set to add to the nissan it carries on charging beyond the request up to 100% What are the battery sizes of the two cars? Are you doing the mental arithmetic needed for the difference when calcu...

Ensure they have the equipment needed to access the VW secured functions, including resetting the service indicator.

Not necessarily. That figure will be based on its driving history. There's a good chance it's been caned either by a previous owner or the dealer. You should ask for a battery state of health report, preferably the full one not the quick one.

Re: Green rectangle on the number plate
It currently has no benefit. Anything that needs to "detect" an EV does so through ANPR.
If you want to travel in Europe, you'll need a GB indication, and that's commonly done by having it on the leading edge of the number plate. If you do that, a green background is an option.

Is the charge point known to be working? The older Rolec charge points were somewhat flaky.

Re: UK Public Charging
Tesla by far the cheapest even without a subscription, but be aware that on all but V4 superchargers the cable is not long enough to reach across the car to the "wrong" (for a Tesla) side, and you'll likely end up taking two charge bays depending on the site design. Busy sites would be bes...

Re: Device away from home (Octopus related)
It has nothing to do with your car's location. It just means "car not plugged in" and will change to a more meaningful message on your next app update.

There's a button/catch within the padding near the top of the seat. Feel for it then press hard with both thumbs while pulling the headrest up with your third hand.

Re: Software Upgrade
I also got this “important” update, but I think it had a side effect with my charging limit. I charged last night and always have the limit set to 80%, but this morning I notice that it charged over that limit. When I checked the app, the charging limit slider was at 100%. It's nothing to do with t...

Give the retaining pin (which locks the cable in) mechanism a healthy douse with silicone-based spray lubricant.

Just drive it a few miles and reset the TPMS. It's looking for deltas, not absolutes.

Try setting a short charge (say five minutes) followed by a short pause, then the charge proper. Some have found that's enough to wake the car.

125 miles × 1.6 = 200miles. Showing "range added" would make no sense.
