Re: Efficiency

]I have been running on 3.2 now for a couple of months, Efficiency is definitely better, I initially thought this was due to the nice weather in the UK in June. It’s clear that this was true even in the wet cool July. Today on a trip into Nottingham teh car surpassed itself, 6.8 miles per kWh. IMG_1...

Re: 3.2 software update cancelled

After yesterday’s post I can confirm that the update was applied to my ID3 1st Edition by my local dealer, Vertu Mansfield. Collected it today at lunchtime and no obvious short comings,. Car washed and fully charged, great service.

Re: 3.2 software update cancelled

I took my ID3 1st Edition into the garage this morning and nothing was said other than “ may be ready later today or tomorrow”. Will update after I’ve collected it.

Re: Anyone going to Harrogate?

All ready to go and route planned. Hoping for good things after going to the Farnborough show in 2021, which was really well organised and informative, It will be interesting to see how it has developed over time and what the Yorkshire Show ground compares.

When I read the email from Osprey my first thought was “Campaign to prompt Government to sort out it’s disaster out energy policy”. Unfortunately that will be like trying to revive the dead.

Re: Rattle

My ID3 1st Edition suffered from a rattle and I too thought it was the rear offside seat belt. Finally tracked it down to the rear seat catch recently. Resolved by wrapping the “bolt” with a small piece of paper towel! Now it’s silent at all times.

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement

My dealer say the battery replacement is only 3-4 hours, but it's the software update that is problematic, often breaking at 70% complete and the whole process restarted. One car took them 3 days! My car's booked in so we'll see how long it actually takes, but I'm pencilling in for a few days witho...

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement

Just collected my car from the dealer after 2.4 update. It took 2.5 days to complete due to replacement of a control unit and washer bottle. Car valeted and everything seems OK on first acquaintance. Loan car was a Polo that although pleasant makes me conclude that I would not entertain having an IC...

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement

Thankfully this thread prepared me for a phone call from my dealer this afternoon to delay my scheduled next week until the middle of August. They apologised but said that due to difficulties updating cars they were limiting updates to 2 cars per week. They also booked my car in for 2 days rather th...

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement

After a week of waiting for a response to an email to my local dealer, through the VW website, I finally lost patience and called them directly. Car now booked in for the update on Thursday 28th July with a courtesy car (at a cost of £20 to cover insurance). Will wait to see how this goes. It's a r...

Re: Stuck in Offline Mode

Having been stuck in Off line for a week I was delighted to find an instant connection this morning. Thankfully I followed the advice of other posters on here and just left the car to it’s own devices. Things resolved themselves as others have said.

Re: Not connecting to internet

Now had two days of failing to connect. Thanks for the helpful posts on the Forum. Think I will adopt the wait and see method before trying the fuse box trick.
This is the first time this has happened in 16 months of ownership.

Re: Cornering Light Message Fault

I will follow this thread with interest. My ID3 has suddenly developed the same warning light on occasion. There was never any problem before installing OTA update 2.3 so I have assumed it is a software fault that will be rectified with OTA 3.0.

Noticed that the navigation isn’t as current as versions on here. This hasn’t concerned me much as I tend to use Apple Maps for navigation.

Re: ID.3 1st software update

Re: General 2.3 OTA rollout to start

The two steps take variable amounts of time as I understand it. The first, smaller download takes approximately 2 hours with a further 20 minutes to update the car’s system. The second download is longer, up to 8 hours I believe and longer to install.

Re: Charging with BP Pulse

My experience in Mansfield has been positive. Charger is on a council car park which brings the added benefit of FREE parking whilst charging! Rapid 50kW charge too so ideal for nipping into town for supplies whilst topping up. Win for me, win for local shops.
