Re: SW 3.7 OTA update is starting
That looks like the update that changes how the motor phases (I think). Gives slightly better efficiency. Not 3.7… Thanks. It's a bit confusing that various sub-versions and updates are not visible to the owner because it makes it look like the update failed or literally nothing happened. I have ha...

Re: SW 3.7 OTA update is starting
Did your car arrive with 3.2 when new? I know there have been some updates going on to bring everyone up to the same point before the bigger update and most likely that'll be cars with 3.2 ex works having minor adjustments to match the later 3.2 versions installed at the dealer. 3.7 is supposed to ...

Re: SW 3.7 OTA update is starting
My id.3 announced the OTA update yesterday. I let it run and.... after a couple of hours it's finished
But my ID Software version is still showing 3.2
At this stage I have resigned to the fact that my car will always be stuck on 3.2
So what did it actually update?

Re: Digital Instrument Cluster question
Are there any trip counters available? “Since start” as shown in the OP is the trip counter. You don’t need to reset it manually, I think it resets if you stop for more than two hours or so. But yes it would be nice to have the option to only reset the trip manually so you could track it over a few...

Re: Good Energy EV Tarriff
You have both charge for departure and ‘preferred times’ to work with, in the VW app. Preferred times is similar to how charger apps work and is intended (I think) to help you take advantage of dual-rate tariffs. Under charging, tap your location, then the settings cog in the corner, then scroll to ...

Does anyone have an update on this? Trying to add my wife and I can only seem to add her as a guest unless I'm missing something. This seems very poor from VW. Clearly the car is designed to have different users because it asks you to select who is driving it when you get in, and it can save prefer...

Re: Automatic lane change with Travel Assist - how does it work?
Hmm, interesting. I tried it many times yesterday on an almost deserted 4-lane section of the A1M. The instance I touch the indicator the arrows go back to being grey. Tried it probably 100 times now. Not essential of course but seems to conclusively not work on my ID.3, unless I'm not understanding...

Re: Automatic lane change with Travel Assist - how does it work?
To be honest, I think both work. I would have said that a firm press is how it’s meant to be. When pressed, a message comes up on the cockpit display reminding you to check your surroundings. Then the car gently moves across. Because it’s all electronic these days, I don’t think it relies on a latc...

Re: Navigation Database updates
Thanks both. Driving along at 70mph it is suddenly setting itself to 50mph and braking without there being any signs. This is on a 3 lane section of the newish A14 bypass that I drive along every week and am very familiar with. It says "50mph detected" in the absence of any signs, always i...

Re: Automatic lane change with Travel Assist - how does it work?
By "press" do you mean setting the indicator fully on (as you would for a junction) – or tapping it on (as you would do to indicate briefly) ?

Navigation Database updates
Can anyone clarify whether the ID.3 navigation map should update entirely OTA? I have ID.3 software 3.2 and Navigation Database 24.2, as at 3 March 2024. There are lots of inaccuracies with regard to speeds on the A14 in my area, that cause the car to speed up and slow down unexpectedly, I suspect t...

Re: Automatic lane change with Travel Assist - how does it work?
Is this meant to work on any ID.3 with side sensors? I have the Max Pro Performance Model, running ID software 3.2. The car has side sensors - i.e. parking sensors along the side, not just front and back. With travel assistant on it shows cars or lorries in the lanes either side and ahead. On Motorw...

Re: Limit speed with Travel Assist
To be honest, I wasn’t sure what Travel assist did, until I read this and some other posts. To be fair the title of the post is incorrect, but still makes sense. OP probably does have travel assist, but they are talking about Adaptive Cruise Control. Travel assist will steer the car down a road usi...

Limit speed with Travel Assist
I love using Travel Assist. My understanding is that it will always detect the speed limit of the road, based on signs seen or map data, and set the speed of the car accordingly. Let’s say a road is a dual carriageway with national speed limit signs. So the car will drive at 70mph. Is it possible to...

Re: OTA updates at 3.2
No. Indeed the update "further information" tile says specifically that the displayed version number won't change. I haven't had the update yet but several people have shared that. I suspect this is because it is 3.2.1. They have never shown sub versions at that level in the car (there we...

Re: OTA updates at 3.2
After turning off the lights it would have ungreyed out the install button, did you press that? If not it won't have done it. Others have reported that if they did the update then when they first re-entered the car it gave them a brief message saying it was connecting to the internet to complete th...

Re: OTA updates at 3.2
Anyone tried this update? Minor update - with this update we are implementing minor updates and bug fixes, in particular for stabilisation of over the air updates. Installation in a pre-requisite for receiving future OTA updates. This update does not increase the displayed version of the ID softwar...

Re: Winter range
I'd say you are doing pretty well. I tend to expect 200-220 in summer and 180 in winter. If there is standing water, high winds or unusual cold it can be less. 58KWh Max Pro Perf here. At 80% battery the car is saying 143 miles! When driving it it’s generally saying 3.0 miles per kWh since charge. ...

Re: ID.3 Battery Warranty Recall
Has anyone else noticed a large drop in range at the recall? My ID3 had an 80% range of 209 miles prior to the recall last summer it's now 174 miles. If you did how was it resolved. My car has 190 miles range at 100%. Is that bad? The mileage is only 1600. When it was new it stated 230. How can I t...
