I too had missed the heated mirrors
Not really needed until now.
Question. Can we select at ‘ pre heat car’ via the app, to have the heated mirrors, heated window, heated seat and heated steering wheel activated?
Thanks

Re: Trip computer?
There is a trip reset on the vehicle data screen.
The symbol to reset is not obvious (what it is.)
From memory just over halfway down towards right hand side.

Green dot in heads up display
Hi Did a 230 mile trip today Used the ‘travel assistant’ for much of the motorway work Above the normal heads up display , in the area that you get the blue turn indicator arrows, I got a green dot. Quite distracting within the eye line. This happened twice. I couldn’t associate the green dot with a...

Re: Granny Charger
Hi Dave ion says that his home supply charges at 7 to 10 miles per hour of charging. Within the software can we see the actual charging power. Often a charger shown as 50kw ( for example ) only charges at 30kw .due to battery status, other vehicles sharing charger or other reasons. But we should kno...

Re: Seat belt warning ‘klaxon’ rear seats
Thank you for your thoughts so far The miss connecting the seat belt into the wrong socket is a less likely issue on the Tour Pro S as it only has 2 rear seats ( due to larger battery) but I have made this mistake on vans with 3 front seats. Will try the seat belt again next time we have a rear pass...

Seat belt warning ‘klaxon’ rear seats
Hi I Took a single rear passenger today for the first time. With them belted in the warning klaxon continued to sound. The unoccupied rear seat had nothing on it no boxes ,coats or anything. The only solution to get Klaxon to stop was to attach the seat belt for the un-occupied seat. ( like when you...

Re: 2.1 upgrade software has been updated
I collected my new ID3 tour pro S this week. It arrived at the dealer on/around 6th March with vers 2.0 installed during manufacture. ( I was told) It took until the 30th March to have it ready to collect. The dealer says that 2.1 has been installed, but had no documentary proof - just salesman ‘wor...

Re: ID.3 Tour Pro S
Hi They are just arriving at dealers now. I ordered my Pro within days of the order system allowing it .( end of Oct if I recall) The car is at the dealer now. After I suggested not collecting it until the software was taken from 2.0 to 2.1 there is a short wait.... So I’ll update you once collected...

Re: Wheel balance on steel wheels
Hi yes a very shoddy job. It should not have been your responsibility to ask for hubcap to fit flush. I always get steel wheels balanced as though they are alloys, effectively having adhesive weights fitted on the inside of the rim. Not because of hubcaps, but because visible clip on weights looks u...

Re: What software version should I expect at collection?
Ok some good info there. Thank you As we are all learning on this, clearly build date is important Can we establish the build date? Where and how. For sure I will look for the obvious pointer of ‘home button on the right and Apple car play’ But will also request the software spec prior to collection...

What software version should I expect at collection?

Re: Steering Alignment
Hi ahm Yes your steering wheel should be level as you drive in a straight line. Although there is some rubbish in what the dealer said, the important thing is that he said They will look at it for you. So you should accept the offer and have them perform a 4 wheel alignment check. The VW group appro...

Thanks HeidiFP For that link
Yes those ‘Leon’ rims look good. In the scheme of things not expensive either.
Maybe use ‘Leon’s’ as every day rims and use the std ones supplied for the winters.

Re: Wheels
Hi I am after a set of standard rims (18 inch) for my, yet to arrive, ID3, if anyone does change theirs and has spares. I have ,on previous cars, had a set of winter tyres, and plan to do the same on my ID3. Two sets of rims makes this easy. You need room to store the spare set and a certain mindset...

Re: Battery Preheating
Hi
The best way to pre heat the battery is to charge it.
However the software may give you a start time - what is really needed is a finish charging time.
I used ( with my Tesla) to schedule the charging such that it just finished when I wanted to drive off.
Works a treat
Cheers

Re: Driving style
Hi I have now sold my Tesla Model S, and had it as main car from 2014 to recent Great fun and yes you do change your driving style. The main change comes from using regen breaking to the max and developing that one pedal only driving style. The cruise control re-engagement was initially to vicious a...

Re: Installing a dashcam
Good to see how you solve this next base used to need a switched 12v. Are they now connected to power via USB cable? Do the USB parts stay live when the ignition is off? How many USB parts does ID3 have? And where are they. I was surprised no one has got there first in helping you out. In my opinion...

Re: ID.3 Driving on Icy Roads
Hi Simon Go in stages here. Abs and Snow/ice is a long topic That’s why the original Audi Quattro (1981) had a simple ABS ‘ off’ button. As ABS can be fooled when several wheels are slipping or several are locked up. Does your ABS work in normal conditions ? when safe to do so try it on a wet and gr...
