Re: Red charging light……..

Thanks It certainly covers more than I have observed but still leaves me wondering physically what is happening at the port and communications with the car. Defining a fault and knowing a charge is cancelled? If I turn my charger off at the isolator the port goes white not red. That's a cancelled ch...

Re: Are you honouring your trade in deal?

Ordered our ID3 (Family Pro) at the end of June, who knows when it will come! Our trade in has gone up about 3k in value since then and still climbing. So despite having order paperwork with the price they would pay on it I don’t plan on handing the car over and giving the dealer the market bonus. ...

Re: How much does speed affect range?

As Utumno says. Its the laws of physics. Not just EVs. It maybe less noticeable on an ICE because of relative consumption when warming up, short runs and engine optimum temperature not being reached, dpf cycle on diesels. These things dont come into play when cruising on a motirway when things are s...

Re: Red charging light……..

The same self doubt went through my mind. With the granny I plug into the source, switch on, wait for the granny self check to complete ( a few seconds) and plug into the car and it clicks and away it goes. A few days back for some reason I had a solid green light no charge. Following day I deleted ...

Re: Doom and Gloom

No doom and gloom here. 9 months and 4,000 miles. Have had minor niggles but no more than I have had with previous new ICE cars. Only dealer visit was 2.1 upgrade. I have had some great trips out although Im not a high miler. First ever trip was driving the car back from Nottingham to Essex 170 mile...

Re: How much does speed affect range?

Energy consumption increases to the square of the velocity (speed) Taking all other things out of the energy equation. Drag coefficient, gradient, weight, rolling resistance etc you can make a direct comparison of energy consumed simply by the velocity squared. 55mph. 55x55=3025 78mph. 78x78=6084 So...

Re: Red charging light……..

Mine has done that just once when I plugged in but left power turned off. I was manually switching charging times. There is some history in the threads and others have had the same experience. Mine now just shows white and then goes off after a short time. The RED bothered me so I disconnected quick...

Re: Sudden drop in range :(

I think thats right. I would not be surprised if the algorithm works well within the cars normal range of 260 miles. Maybe only 50-100 miles with the most recent 10 miles or so having the biggest effect then tappering off. My LTA is 4.3m/kw. Projects out to 250 miles. My since charge figure is 4.9m/...

Re: Summer Range - How is everyone getting on?

Im enjoying regular 4.3-4.6 mikes/kw. LTA 4.3 m/kw Temperatures are just right for me and the car. No heating, cooling or early morning battery heating. Probably only another few weeks of this at best before we see higher battery consumption. I have been through a winter before with the car so know ...
