Re: Charging very slow
You could make sure that the 'reduced AC charging' setting has not been activated.

Re: Battery lost 20% overnight
As a thought, could the remote air con have been accidentally engaged overnight at all?

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement
Doesn't sound good does it? Just as well that we have had no notice at all from our dealer regarding the update. Or from VW direct via email, etc. for that matter.

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement
From the VW website: After the successful installation of ID. software 2.4, your ID. will display the following ID. software and Software information: ID. Software: 2.3.0 Software: 0912 The Software number 0912 indicates that your ID. has ID. software 2.4 installed. In future releases the ID. Softwa...

Re: The reason I / you decided on the ID.3
Cheapest car on our work scheme. Would have easily taken an Ioniq 5 or an EV6 instead but damn they were expensive. Big fan of Korean cars. Way better built and value than VW. Cheap ass Germans. But the EV^ and the Ioniq 5 are both far more expensive than an ID3 so I am not sure where the better va...

Re: Cargo/Travel boxes on tow hitch
I don't think there would be any issue. Looking at the the most popular makes of cargo box they appear top have max loads of around 45kgs so shouldn't over tax the bar. The boxes fit onto bake racks anyway so you are merely replacing the bike with a box, not towing anything.

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
I have no idea how my wife is going to change her ID3 when the time comes when we see how much used vehicles are going for! Unfortunately, like house, the higher the old is worth, the more the new costs.

Re: Utumno's Tesla Model Y has arrived !
No HUD, no working matrix headlights. Bummer The headlights on the Y are plenty good enough in practice, but the matrix lights felt like a bit of a wrench it's true. I didn't have a HUD to start with, so I don't know what I'm missing there 🤷♂️ The matrix light thing is a strange situation on Tesla...

Re: Utumno's Tesla Model Y has arrived !
I’d imagine the build quality will be better than the id3 The one we looked at seemed well put together and the only thing I could notice was the passenger door was slightly proud of the panels but I spent some time looking at the alignment etc… Have a great trip Why do you think it will be better ...

Re: Keyless Entry - Safety Issues
It is amazing how far we have come with key technology. Long gone are the days of leaning over to physically unlock the door handles from the inside to let passengers in, etc.

Father in Law, also from Dundee, ordered an ID3 in September and was told May, then June, delivery. Still nothing for him yet.

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
Sat ion a Born for the first time on Thursday at local show and was impressed. It definitely feels a step up fro the ID3. I suppose it is what the face-lift ID3 will be like perhaps. I think it is the greater use of alcantara material and the more cocooning feel of the central console that does it, ...

Re: Type 2 connector cover
There is no cover on the car charging port for the type 2. There is for the CCS extension under the type 2, but the main type 2 has no cover as the door is sealed to prevent water, etc getting in.

I would suggest, as others have already, that you check the tyre pressures. \Ours came over pressured as well.
