Re: Road Feel Through Steering Wheel?
The wheels that have the new tyres aren't properly balanced, or the tyres are seriously overinflated would by my first guesses - tyre pressures are easy to check yourself. If balancing is suspected, you need Togo back yo your fitter, maybe one of the balancing weights has dropped off.

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
Owned outright, no finance. As per the Motorway values I quoted, I think it would cost me between 4 and 5K to change. Mine is a 58kwh Pro Performance, east Derrys and heat pump, with not many miles - 4800. With respect to your spec, it would seem as though values are softening slightly. What were y...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
Thanks for the reply. I have been tentatively checking with Motorway, and it seems, for my Life PP anyway, that the value is dropping quite rapidly. It went from over 35K to 34K in a week, about 2 weeks ago. Still can't make my mind up what to do, and by the time I do, I suppose all the Borns will ...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
Is Sunderlad local to you? If so, have you tried asking S G Petch in Durham if they have anything? I'm in North West Durham. I thought they had to be a Cupra dealer rather than just a Seat dealer, or do the Seat dealers sell the Born as well? Depends on the dealer. All Cupra dealerships are also Se...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
Not wishing to hijack this thread, but with what appears to be quite a few jumping ship from the ID3 to the Born, how old are these ID3's? Anyone jumped before their ID3 was 12 months old? I have said previously that if the Born had been available when I bought my ID3, I would have got the Born. Bu...

Re: Utumno's Tesla Model Y has arrived !
What's the main differences between M3 and MY? Without having looked into it, from visuals alone, it would seem that the MY is to the M3 as the Golf Plus is to the Golf, but i'm probably being a bit simplistic.

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
Just complete the initial estimate on the motorway website and see what comes up. I beat their price twice (not by much, so the estimates seem accurate). I really do think you'll need to be quick if you want to snap up a Born already built and waiting to go. The Motorway initial estimate - is that ...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
I've been trying to get a deal put together to swap in to a Born, but I've got mine on a PCP and the figures just don't stack up, a bit because of the way PCPs work, too much equity in the car, so would need cashback, and the even taking the cashback in to account the monthly payments work out at £...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
The photos were the car straight of the transporter just after it had been delivered to the dealer. I had some more photos sent to me last night by another member who lives across the road from my dealer showing it now cleaned and prepped. Can't wait for Saturday but I will be checking the paint no...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
Well, having started this thread nearly three months ago that took a little time to catch up with all the new Born drivers in here. I am not even in mine yet. However, not for long. I am due to collect it on Saturday. Firstly I sold my ID.3 through CarWow and was delighted with the price achieved. ...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
It really does seem to me that VAG are pushing Cupra to be in a higher category of prestigiousness among the pack: Old hierarchy: Audi > VW > Seat > Skoda New perceived hierarchy: Audi > Cupra > VW > Seat > Skoda Perhaps its not that simple, Cupra is perhaps on an equal pairing with the performance ...

Re: Car Steering Wheel Lock
At least the OP hasn't asked about those ones which fit over the hand brake handle and around the gear stick. As deleted user says, the ID3 is on no-ones "steal list", as it's not a performance car, breaking parts on EVs for battery selling isn't really a thing currently, and unless ...

Re: Enabling Travel Assist with OBD11
Had a run on the motorway today, travel assist works perfectly, resting just one hand on the wheel kept the dreaded warning at bay, other half took a pic of the expanded display. Sounds like the cupra has a capacitive steering wheel as standard then, congratulations. It's pot luck it seems. Betty's...

Re: ID.3 107KW Family Pro 58kWh - Thoughts?
Pano Roof, Matrix headlights are the main ones. + dual zone climate, keyless entry, rear bench cupholder/arm rest, variable height boot floor, illuminated door handles, more shades in ambient lighting. I think that might be it. I thought the life 22 got keyless entry and start, arm rest and illumin...

Re: ID.3 107KW Family Pro 58kWh - Thoughts?
Thanks for the feedback. To be honest i'm looking at getting it on a 4 year lease so not worried about residual value. Interestingly after posting this I got offered a Feb '23 delivery 150kw life pro performance 62KWh in Moonstone Grey, for £30 per month less. Is there much difference between the L...

Re: Charging cost increases again
Isn't bonnet the same price as the likes of Gridserve for PAYG (57p a kWh), rendering it pointless?
I'll have to look into the VW unit prices to see if the savings make the £9.99 monthly fee worthwhile.
