Re: VW, you are costing me money every time I charge
Pardon my ignorance but what is a TPI number?? Hi, I found an explanation of TPI on a German website. Translated by Google into strangled English it reads: "A TPI (Technical Product Information) is a problem description for vehicle problems identified by VW. These TPIs often also provide instr...

Re: Car seat cover recommendations?
I bought the Plugear seat covers from https://www.torque-alliance.com/collections/vw-id-3-accessories/products/v-w-id-3-seat-cover-set-seat-protector-set-7-pcs Of course you can see that it is difficult to design a cover for the rear seats in particular. I thought this product was a good solution fo...

David is my neighbour. He is an independent VW group electronics specialist. He fixes electrical faults in VW Group cars that other garages cannot fix... Including certain VW main dealers... He has official access to the Wolfsburg computers etc... One key on my 2010 VW Touran died of old age. David ...

Re: Variable boot hight kit
Our ID3 Family has the adjustable floor. IMHO a complete waste of time and £££. It makes the boot space much smaller etc.

Re: Cable storage - boot
Our ID3 Family has the adjustable floor. IMHO a complete waste of time and £££. It makes the boot space much smaller etc. I have learned how to coil the high speed charging cable in a certain way so it neatly fits in that little gap behind the bumper. I bought a granny charger on eBay and it lives i...

Yes, 5.9mm starting point, meaning that your 4mm tyres have lost 1.9mm in doing 5000 miles, you've got another 5000 miles to get down to 2mm, so you'll be fine to do your 2000 mile French trip.
Yes - my 18" Bridgestones also measured 5.9mm when new - within the limits of measuring error

Was your car nearly brand new when you got it?
Our ID3 was delivered new a year ago last week with a predicted 250 mile range. This dropped, quite quickly, to something more realistic. This week is standing around 225 miles when fully charged.

Re: Id3 battery degradation (Preliminary data)
Very interesting. The full technical article is in English: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2590116822000133/ IMHO these articles are very different. IMHO the German article is written in fairly plain language, and the article in English is written in scientific gobble-di-gook. I...

Re: VW We charge / Elli
Tbh I went for a VW Charge Go solely because I’m doing a long drive to the south east of France and Black Forest on May, June. I will use Ionity as the charging ‘backbone’ and the subscription will easily pay for itself on that trip. But I’m aware no one has said much about the prices of non-Ionity...

Re: VW We charge / Elli
I have "WeCharge Plus" because we have a [very small] house in France - 1200km from our home in UK. I think WeCharge was the right decision for us because we do not have "range anxiety." I hummed and hawed at the high cost of the annual package compared with its very reasonable p...

Re: D mode B mode and the motorway
The key message is - If you're not wasting energy, there's nothing for regen to recover. Sat on the motorway at a constant speed is a fine example of that.
All these answers show us why VW gave us a choice between D and B - so everyone can choose for themselves. As usual I agree wi...

Any idea what the cost of a set of 4 would be? I can see then on eBay for £160 + delivery, but would rather get them direct from VW. I'd ask your dealer if he could do them at cost as you are buying a new car from them, and you want to know how helpful they can be[!] Then let Forum members buy the ...

Here's a link to a zip file of the 29 ID.3 brochures I saved on to my computer. Most of them cannot be found anywhere else. Some of them are in European languages, and some are UK brochures. They might be of interest to someone. Officially these are the copyright of VW, and if VW objects please cont...

Try calling your local TPS - https://tps.trade/ Much cheaper than through a dealer, but still Genuine VW parts as they are part of VW.
