Service Interval - now 2yr
I had a call with local VW, booking the 3yr MoT on our ID.3 and when I enquired about getting the service done too, I was assured it wasn't needed until next year. I didn't believe them (dealers after all...), but sure enough, service only every 2 years now: https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/en/owners-an...

Re: Ineffective Air Conditioning
As others have said, If the aircon really is on:
Climate - ON
Fan - Auto
Aircon - ON
Temperature set to 16
Then it should be like a fridge inside. If not, it's broken and needs fixing!

Re: All season tyres recommendation for ID.3 with 18" alloys?
Anything but the Bridgestones will be a huge improvement! Ours were down to 2mm at the back and anything but dry roads were twitchy. Was a toss up between Michelin CrossClimate 2 and their Primacy4+ summer tyres - both from kwikfit. Going CrossClimate would have meant changing all 4 and it doesn't g...

Re: Podpoint Charging using Podpoint schedule slow charging since 2.4 upgrade
Some more discussion here: https://www.id3forums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2070 We had the same issue with our pod point scheduled charge, but only for the first charge since 2.4. There was then a 5 minute OTA update that may or may not have changed things, but subsequent 5 charges have been bac...

Re: Charge rate dropped to 4kW
Yes, something odd - cold weather subtly affecting the timings? Mine failed again on Tuesday - to be fair, the first time for a while, and it finally nudged me into adding a fix. Rather than use the Ohme workaround profile, I'm detecting the slow-charge condition and restarting the charge from the ...

Re: Charge rate dropped to 4kW
Just to add another datapoint, our ID.3 has always charged at a solid 7+kW on a tethered PodPoint Solo which is doing the timed overnight charges. First charge after the 2.4 update was at 4kW... Just to complicate things, there was a small OTA update yesterday and last night was back up to 7kW! No i...

Re: ID3 not charging on AC 7KW chargers
7 kW is single phase and uses p1 and n pins
22 kW (which is limited to 11 kW) is 3 phase and uses p1, p2 and p3 pins.
So, in theory, an issue with the neutral cable or pin / connector at either end could cause the observed behaviour (or could still be one of those random software issues...)

Re: Keyless Entry - Safety Issues
Aren't there 2 modes to 'keyless': 1. 'Auto unlock' where the car unlocks as you approach the car with the key (and I assume lock as you walk far enough away?). We don't use this. 2. Normal 'keyless' where you just grab a door handle with the key in your pocket / bag and it unlocks. Unless the key i...

Re: Range changed to km
Ours will occasionally display in km - not identified a definite pattern, but normally after one of the frequent front assist / acc 'unavailable' warnings - after such an alert, the display sometimes comes back in km. It will usually revert to miles on the next start - only once have we made the mis...

Re: Battery Heating Software Level 3
Although we know heating the batteries decreases range there was a side to this that's not much discussed. That is, what impact there is to performance overall if you just allow the normal drive to bring the battery temperature up without supplementary heating? This is the big question I've been wa...

Re: First Fault - Dynamic Cornering Light
I’d assumed that the cornering function was part of the matrix led headlights, so you’re correct that the life won’t have them, which makes it even more odd… could be wrong though.
However, that error has never reappeared for us so was just a glitch somewhere.

Re: Ionity - are kWh delivered overstated?
Simply: Charging isn't 100% efficient. Not all of the energy supplied by the charger ends up in the cells - small amounts heat the charging cable, more is lost in the car's charging circuits, then more lost as heat due to internal losses in the cells. At best you're looking at 90% of what comes out ...

Yep, that's been our only one so far too.
Happened whilst manoeuvring around an underground carpark, so maybe it got confused?
Having turned the function off and on again, it hasn't reoccured, so fingers crossed!

I ordered the following from bootliners.co.uk:

It arrived before the car, but now fitted and seems like it'll do the job:
