Re: ID3 Official Recall - 3 seperate issues
Mine were replaced with Bridgestone Turanza Eco. Haven't noticed any difference but then again they were only swapped out yesterday and the Goodyears were towards the end of their life after 27k miles.

Re: 3.2 software update cancelled
My car was booked in for the software upgrade yesterday. The dealership called me this afternoon to say that after several attempts of the software install getting as far as 75% it subsequently kept failing. They said that although that may be disappointing, I was luckier than the other owner being ...

Re: Cornering Light Message Fault
I suggest you do what I did and call our the VW rescue crew. They diagnosed that the car was undrivable and trailered it to the local dealership the following day and gave me a courtesy car until it was fixed - assuming your dealership aren't prepared to leave it sitting in their compound for the ne...

Re: Cornering Light Message Fault
I had the same issue as Mish. It started off with a dynamic cornering light error but over the next few days impacted the indicators and the dynamic headlights and eventually the low speed noise generator. it's caused by a faulty sound control unit which for some unknown reason impacts all the afore...

Re: Interior Lights Pulsing
Just called the dealership for an update. My car has a faulty Sound Control Unit, used for warning pedestrians, which apparently affects the car lights too - who would have guessed! Anyway, a replacement ordered and on its way for fitting tomorrow.

Re: Interior Lights Pulsing
I have exactly the same problem with the Dynamic Cornering light. It started last Thursday and has progressively worsened with further constant warnings - "Fault: vehicle lighting", "please check front right turn signal" then please check front left turn signal." Even gettin...

Re: Missing Icon
I must have dreamt it then. I was trying to see if there was a way of increasing the sensitivity of the Park Distance Control. When reversing out our drive in the dark I seem to get very near the wall before it triggers.

Missing Icon
It may be my failing memory, but I'm sure I had a Parking icon visible on the infotainment screen at one point. I'm on 2.3. Perhaps I dreamt it, or have deleted it somehow. If there is one, how do I recover it?

Re: Electric drive failure
My Electric Drive failure was due to a faulty cooling pump for the battery plus a failure of the engine ECU. This happened on the 26th November. Luckily I was on the dealership forecourt about to drive away when the error occurred . Both parts were on back order with Germany. They eventually arrived...

Re: Electric Drive failure
In answer to GeorgeGordon's original question on Electric Drive failures, I too experienced the same message last week. The car had been into the dealership for it's third visit so far to sort the creaking dashboard. They announced that they believed it was finally fixed after 111 miles of test driv...

Re: Front Bottom Grill Damage
I see you have the same collection of leaves behind the grille at the back as I do in mine. I'm wondering at what stage the whole grille becomes blocked!

Re: Creaking dashboard
I'm encouraged that there are others out there with a similar issue. My car is returning to the dealers at the end of the month for a third attempt at resolving the creaking dashboard. As with Andreas's car, it's coming from around the HUD unit, so directly in front of the driver. There doesn't appe...

Re: Creaking from Panoramic Roof
I continue to have a creak but from the top of the dash around the HUD. It's been to the dealer twice and they've stripped down the area, added extra padding and eventually installed a new dash. Each time it has come home and within a few days the creak is back. I'm debating whether to send it for a...

Re: Increasing the range while driving
I've often wondered when the brake lights kick in. I assume they're dependant on a certain deceleration amount, or pressing the brake pedal, rather than as soon as the regeneration mode kicks in?

Re: We connect app
With regards to the heated seat option being accessible on the App, I'm sure that at one point it was visible on an earlier version of the App. It disappeared a few months ago. Can anyone with iOS see the option on the current 1.21.0 version?

Re: Three-pin / granny charger recommendations
I bought a Masterplug granny charger from Screwfix for £140 for use at work. It does a great job and just covers my 76 mile round trip commute.

Re: New delivery: Rattle sound
I'm 10 days into my ID3 Max and each journey I take the creaking noise coming from the HUD unit is getting louder and louder. Must be plastic rubbing on plastic but can't pinpoint the cause. Anyone else experienced this? My local dealer has offered to check it out. Their appointment offering? 4 week...
