Re: Dead ID3

Yes exactly that error since the update. This 12v issue only appeared a few weeks later, this morning.

Re: Dead ID3

Thanks MotMot. I wonder if the 12v issue is also the cause of the motor / electrics warning light.

Dead ID3

The main battery is 68% and I can’t get in the car is dead. I had a replacement 12v battery around 10 months ago and a second replacement in July 23, both as a recall. In July I also had the update to v3. Something or other. About a week after I got a warning light saying the motor had a fault and i...

Two Clocks!

I have automatic time set with GMT offset being in England. However, sent and received sms show as GMT +2. Now it gets even spookier. A departure time of 6:10 actually preps the car at 04:10 so to get it to be set for 6:10 I have to set departure as 08:10 BUT the displayed clock and settings display...

Re: ID3 Software Update v2.3

What does the update add. Is it a necessary update?

Orange ACC warning ACC cannot start

I have this on the dash display. The book and logic suggests there is an obstruction on the sensors but there isn’t anything there when looked at. It’s a baking hot day and the car has been in the sun all day. The alarm has also just gone off. Could this all be linked.

Ultra Fast Chargers

As I understand it an id3 can use up to a 100kw charger. Does connecting it to a 150kw charger do the car any harm? I hope it will just down grade automatically to 100kw.

Re: odometer and trip display

I think you see it on the main dash display before you select a gear and set off. Something there or thereabouts.

System defaults

Hi, Is there a way the apparent defaults can be changed. I find lane assist very annoying on tight roads as the car tries to force you into the nearside gutter, so I turn it off. The next drive it's back on again. I cannot find a way to force it to behave and stay off until I choose to use it on say...

Granny Charger

Hi,

Simple question... is a granny charger waterproof. Genuine VW setup. I suspect it will be but before I get caught out by a typical British summer day of wall to wall rain i'd rather check.

Many thanks

Standing Water

Does anyone know the risk or not of driving through standing water. My route to work occasionally floods to a depth likely to reach the underbelly of the car. Is it safe to continue on that route or are ev simply not suited to passing through pooled water. Is the car going to suffer malfunctioning b...

Try turning off auto hold in the assist section. It a problem for me too.
