Re: Intelligent Octopus - Integration EV vs Charger
Is the Wallbox Pulsar Plus really “supported” (as in remotely controlled like an Ohme charger), or merely listed in a long list of chargers to choose from? In the eligibility web form , if I choose the car as the Abarth 500e Scorpionissima and the charger as the Wallbox Pulsar Plus, it tells me tha...

Intelligent Octopus - Integration EV vs Charger
Hi. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any benefits to using a supported charger vs the car with software 3.2 installed to integrate with Intelligent Octopus. I've got a Wallbox Pulsar Plus which seems to be supported according to the app. Cheers.

Re: 3.5 software, then 4.0 apparently later this year ('23)
This is the Ausie site, but it's a global database. Insert your VIN number and it will let you know https://www.volkswagen.com.au/app/locals/owners-service/service-campaigns-recalls Thanks for the link. I just checked mine and it says 93P7 from 01/09/2022 (replace battery module) is still outstandi...

How can you tell if your car is in line for a battery recall/test? This is the Ausie site, but it's a global database. Re: Cornering Light Message Fault
We had this error continuously (restarting infotainment system cleared the error but it didn't take look to come back). This started happening a few days after the 2.4 update/12 V battery replacement. Went to the dealer who told me that a control unit needed replacing which then increased to several...

Re: ECU needs replacing
No problems with the ECU, for me it was the control unit that deals with light assist. Started getting the "Error: dynamic cornering light" and "Fault: Light Assist" messages which pop up frequently (powering off the screen seems to reset the message queue, but the errors will po...

Re: Keyless Entry Stopped Working
Ours has been working perfectly until the last week or so. Locking always works, but unlocking is random. Changed keyfob battery and no difference. I guess it must be a temperature issue? There must be a proximity sensor in the door handle to make sure that the key is close enough to the door for i...

Re: Anyone who has a Life trim wishing they had a Family trim?
If you drive a lot at night, especially on country roads, then I would highly recommend the matrix headlights of the Family. My night vision is awful and it really makes a difference to me. Like so often, depends on circumstances and if you can afford the extra £80.

Re: Selling ID.3 on day of delivery.
I surprised people do not seek a valuation on day of delivery for curiosity. Depreciation or appreciation. People are paying a fair bit for a car, don't they want to know how much they have lost (or gained)? I would have lost a lot of time worrying and checking by treating my car like a trading com...

Re: EV Charging Accounts
If you (plan to) travel in Scotland then it's worth setting up an account at https://chargeplacescotland.org/ including direct debit 24h before you use any of their charging points. There might be delays when setting up direct debit, so don't leave it too late like I did! I wasn't able to start my f...

Re: Scheduled charging -Wallbox
Scheduled charging with our Wallbox Pulsar Plus works fine for us. We limit the charge to 80%, and that's the only charging related setting we use on the id.3. Our procedure looks like this: - Unlock car/charging port. - Plug in (white lights flashing at the id.3 charging port). - Lock the car. - Af...

Re: We charge Go - Ordering card
I've actually managed to get it to work. There was some confusion with a disabled arrow for the next step plus an extra hidden button (no scroll bar indicated) which must have appeared after the callback from the banking app. Need a bigger screen or brain. I am going up the M6/A74/A702 way (Carlisl...

Re: We charge Go - Ordering card
Why do you want the card? You can get a lower rate at Ionity, but pay a premium if you use the card with other partners such as Osprey. I am planning a journey and the only rapid charger en route is from Ionity. The "WeCharge Go" tariff is 0.45£/kWh. Without the "one year free" ...

We charge Go - Ordering card

Better too early than too late. For a "nordic" country there are far too many cars driving around in winter / heavy rain stealth mode during twilight hours. Interesting to compare: https://travel.stackexchange.com/questions/14198/how-can-i-find-which-european-countries-require-headlights-o...

Re: In praise of lane assist
Most recent features like lane assist seem to be aimed at saving a driver not paying attention to the road ahead. Personally, I strongly dislike lane assist and have it turned off (OBD11 Mod for the car to remember you switched it off last time). I guess it really depends on the type of road. Where...

Re: In praise of lane assist
I understand why a lot of folks get annoyed at having to turn off lane assist every time they get in the car. That's what I normally do. As we live in a rural location, I use lane assist off on the country roads and turn it on again when I hit main carriageways or motorways. But. I drove the car fo...
