Re: Octopus Go New Tariffs
Got some great news today... I got the same email as a few others have: "we cocked up by not sending you a renewal notice and so we're leaving you on your current tariff for another year etc." 15p/5p per kWh and 24p a day standing charge. Excellent! Hope they cock up again next year. Hi, ...

Re: Delivery time
Just had a phone call from Octane leasing, my car is in the country and will be with the dealer next week, well happy 😊 That's excellent. Was your car a cancellation? Just wondering given your order date. No, it was a fresh order for dealer stock. Forgive me, but I think your leasing organisation m...

Re: One Quarter of UK Tesla Supercharger sites open to non-Tesla vehicles from today
I hope cable management and length is something Tesla will improve over time for non-Tesla vehicles. Either that or more manufacturers start putting the port on the same flank of the car!

Re: One Quarter of UK Tesla Supercharger sites open to non-Tesla vehicles from today
Will be worse on cars like the Taycan where they've positioned it just in front of the front door. Parking nose in might help in that case though? I’m not too familiar with the Taycan though! I think it's more that the SUC cables are quite short, so I don't think they go to distance in some circums...

Re: One Quarter of UK Tesla Supercharger sites open to non-Tesla vehicles from today
Whoop! Whoop! Daft question incoming! So, been watching Technology Connections' excellent video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZOuz_laH9I ) on EV charging and I'm puzzled about what the different cars and chargers have. I've seen enough EVs now to know that in the UK we have a combined type-2 a...

Re: 1st Service..
Probably been asked a million times.. apologies! So I'm coming up to a year of ownership (29th June) and had a mail this morning from Inchape Volkswagen advising it's service time.. "We are contacting you to let you know that according to our records, your vehicle, ******* may soon be due a Se...

Re: One Quarter of UK Tesla Supercharger sites open to non-Tesla vehicles from today
Unless you can park behind the charger it will mean parking in one bay and charging from the charge point on the next bay due to short cables and iD3 port location. TeslaSUC.jpeg Yes it will. But that really is looking a gift horse in the mouth, if you ask me and the problem is easily solved with b...

Re: Delivery time
I’ve no idea at the moment. Have they even started build the 22.5 model yet? She’ll be happy either way as long as it’s the spec she’s ordered. There are quite few MY22.5 cars appearing now, none of which were ordered as such it seems, which makes the wait even more exciting to know what you are go...

Re: One Quarter of UK Tesla Supercharger sites open to non-Tesla vehicles from today
I am super happy about this. 16 sites = about 158 new 150kW+ stalls, and hopefully more to come. I also like the incredibly straightforward pricing model.
There will be a lot of bleating about non-Tesla cars charging on Superchargers from Tesla owners I am sure, but I am not one of them !

Re: Delivery time
What not happy about me getting mine before you, or with them driving it to you? I don't have a problem with them driving it to me - it's their car and I'm just leasing it from them. Any mileage they put on it is deducted from your mileage allowance. I've had a car delivered absolutely filthy and w...

Re: Fitting Rear Speakers to a First Edition
Has anyone tried contacting VW UK about those on Social Media or directly to ask why they feel that rear speakers are no longer necessary on a car that has seats in the rear? I've just bought a MY 22 'Family' edition to discover no rear speakers, children were not amused and driver and front seat p...

Re: Software 3.1
Yes. 2.4 update is a workshop update. This needs to be completed by your dealer and then 3.0 will follow as an OTA update but time scales are in the air again due to the postponement of the rollout of 2.4. How do we stay up to date on the rollout of 2.4? Is there a VW mailing list? Unfortunately VW...

Re: Delivery time
Just got the Max. No extra sensors, no seat memory and 2.3 software... ...and no surprises. It's clearly been through once already probably in 2021, then stored and had a component or two retrofitted. I think you'll only find 3.x software and extra side sensors on vehicles build week 51/2021 and on...

I personally find pence/mile much easier to handle to compare ICE and EV.

Re: Delivery time
With the latest update from my dealer being “it’s delayed again, and reset to status 00”, I’ve cancelled the order for my ID.3 Max. Grateful if you can update the spreadsheet Utumno. I plan on remaining a member of this forum and continuing to keep on top of developments and learn from everybody, h...
