Re: Delivery time
Anyone know what the chances my Familr pro performance due for delivery in the next few weeks will be a MY22.5? 100% Thanks. I'm really happy to be getting it after 10 months but I'd be a bit disappointed if it was a MY22. Quite right too! Your build week quoted was after 51/2021 so you should abso...

Re: Software 3.1
So, afterwards, (and I know we don't know the answer) are they saying that 3.0 will start after 2.4 is complete or there will be an initial delay? If we've got to wait for them to try and catch up with updating to 2.4 It'll be 2023. Ive been saying for ages here that 3.x OTA won’t start until 2023....

Re: Delivery time
Just chased the dealer after seeing everyone’s news. Apparently our car has gone back to not having a build week and he recommended cancelling (I bet as they’ll make a lot more selling it when it arrives). It’s so frustrating as all other 313xxxxx car orders seem to have been fulfilled on the sprea...

Re: Utumno's Tesla Model Y has arrived !
What's the main differences between M3 and MY? Without having looked into it, from visuals alone, it would seem that the MY is to the M3 as the Golf Plus is to the Golf, but i'm probably being a bit simplistic. A slightly more apt comparison might be Jetta/Tiguan, but your comparison isn’t unreason...

Re: Software 3.1
For non Facebook people...in reply to someone's questions: - they said they can't guarantee when invites will start in each country but nominally from the middle of next week (interesting someone said yesterday that she'd had it already), and - they clarified that the 3.0 update would be a separate...

Re: Utumno's Tesla Model Y has arrived !
No HUD, no working matrix headlights. Bummer The headlights on the Y are plenty good enough in practice, but the matrix lights felt like a bit of a wrench it's true. I didn't have a HUD to start with, so I don't know what I'm missing there 🤷♂️ The matrix light thing is a strange situation on Tesla...

Re: Software 3.1
Well apparently 2.4 is actually happening. "Dear ID. Drivers, We announced to get back with information on the ID. software 2.4 update in June. So much for now: we are good to go! Today, we have shared comprehensive information with our markets that will be shared with all service partners in ...

Re: Delivery time
Update from my dealer today. Still at status 00, this is bloody ridiculous now. God knows if the government grant will still be applied if this goes over 12 month. Despite the ridiculous wait, it may be too expensive for me as I’m leasing it. What’s your thoughts on this? Would the payments go up a...

Re: Delivery time
And I’d just like to add my heartfelt thanks to Jim for keeping the spreadsheet updated while I’ve had considerable other calls on my time.
Many thanks Jim, you’re a solid gold trooper.

Re: Utumno's Tesla Model Y has arrived !
If you don’t mind what spec and extras if any did you add, also did it come with a parcel shelf? Dealer mentioned that they should be getting built with them Our id3 is having a charging issue at the moment, it’s probably not happy with us because we’d been and had a look at the model y Hoping to g...

Utumno's Tesla Model Y has arrived !
Several of you following the near 12 month saga of our VW ID.3 Tour order, culminating in the purchase of a Tesla Model Y after SWMBO threw her toys out of the pram asked for off-topic confirmation that we finally have our EV. Well, we do, I collected it on Saturday just gone, and we couldn't be hap...

You need to install their specific wall charger too. Not a bad idea for an Airbnb and the like.

Re: Tesla Price Rises
Frankly it looks like ~£40k is going to be the “floor” for mid-sized EV’s for the reasonably foreseeable future. Stellantis should take this opportunity to coin it in at the lower end of the market if parts and pricing allow. I don’t really expect VW to be occupying the sub-£30k bracket at all for s...

Re: Tesla Price Rises
Have Tesla prices gone up again?! Yes indeed, and delivery timescales too. A cooking spec M3 will be 9-12 months now. MY’s are a bit easier, but now start at £58k. We haven’t even taken delivery of our Y yet (Saturday!) and its gone up in price by £4k since ordering it. Thank heavens for price prot...

Re: Software 3.1
VW should be telling us when the 2.4 campaign will start in the next week. Nothing at all on the German forums. Complete radio blackout on the next steps re 2.4 and 3.0. I don’t believe they promised that, I believe they promised an update on the rollout dates. That update may well consist of “we’l...

Re: Delivery time
As many have noticed, VW are getting better recently at build times. Has anyone got a feeling whether this speed up also applies to ID3 Family variants? I see there was talk of the Matrix headlights delaying all non life cars because of the chip shortages in May so I wonder if all the speed up is m...

Re: Delivery time
The sales rep told us today that the delivery can be a further 4 months after the build. If you want some good news, there is definitely a smaller gap between "going into build" and "being delivered to dealers". It was true, but hopefully it is getting provably better. What seem...
