Re: My ID.3 Life story...
What are they??? They are the mirror indicator. The standard life ones just flash, the higher spec cars have the animated ones that light up starting at one end and the light moves across to the outside. (Sorry, bit of a crap explanation. They are these.. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=...

Re: Honest thoughts on our ID.3
OBD11 - lots of things can be adjusted with it. The lane assist is god-awful, so makes sense to get it to remember selection e.g. if you switch it off on last use, it stays switched off unless you consciously turn it on again (and why would you?) Does this not void warranty ? Just read this thread ...

Re: My ID.3 Life story...
Well, still loving my iD.3, after over 8 months of ownership! In fact, so much so that I've bought a treat for it. As I only have the lowly Life spec, I've bought a set of animated wing mirror indicators to give it a bit of an upgrade. Needless to say, this was only because they were a LOT cheaper ...

Re: Honest thoughts on our ID.3
Just read this thread . Some picky points.
Headrest are actually head restraints in the event of being rear ended reducing whiplash. A gap between the pad and the head of 50cm or so is normal given the variation in body sizes and shapes.

Re: Public Pod Point chargers
Just wondering can anyone here tell me, a 50kWh charger, how quick it can charge your car from lets say 5% to 80% ? Also am I correct in thinking that the quickest rate the ID.3 can take is 125 kWh or is it 100kWh ? Assuming it delivers a steady 50kW. 5% to 80% is 75% of the useable 58kW. In your c...

Re: ZAP MAP Home Charge
I have no home charger, tried to use some zap map home but the cost and time isn't worth it would rather use rapid charge sure now expensive but shorter charge time . Plus Tesco superstore offer free 7kw charge anyway depending how far it is from your home you could leave your car there charging fo...

Re: Public Pod Point chargers
Use the pod point app. The charger will have a code like a name and number. Once you plug in you have 15 minutes to confirm charge on the charger you have selected in the app.
That just comes up as a box on the app.
If you don't do that you will only get 1t minutes free.

Re: Increasing the range while driving
Has anyone tried using B mode without ACC and slightly lifting your foot off the accelerator.I have found that the regen is quite impressive . I think most of the thread here in recent posts has been choosing B or D without ACC and the regen that we see. I can't compare the regen though with any ot...

Re: Cable storage - boot
I have the standard boot floor.
I store a granny in the boot cubby as MotMot and only take the type 2 cable away on long trips in the boot.
Home Charger is tethered.

Re: Just saying Hi
Welcome to the forum Grant. Certainly agree that a home charger makes life so much easier with an EV. Range anxiety with me lasted around 3 months gradually reducing as I got to grips with the step up to an EV. I was on a granny charger at home for almost a year before being able to get the 7kW pod ...

Pretty sure I have done that mid way through a rapid charge. Also used wipers and AC.

ZAP MAP Home Charge
Anyone put their home charger on Zap Map? Given the generally poor public charging network I am thinking of adding mine as an option for people who really are in a fix. I don't know if under those circumstances it's appropriate to charge for the service? Would be nice to think that if the Home shari...

Re: Increasing the range while driving
Try using eco mode with the ACC. It’s les aggressive at speeding up and slowing down. It’s funny - sometimes I’m sure I can tell when the car in front changes gear when following on ACC 😁 I find that even in ECO mode, the effect can still be quite aggressive. Even with the largest distance set to t...

Re: Pod Point question
So I change the name of the new TP LINK to the same as the old one? Is it that simple? I thought there would be a unique ref/code. Yes it really is that simple. By this mechanism, you can run multiple access points with the same SSID and key and your devices *should* be able to switch between them ...

Re: Increasing the range while driving
Off the D/B mode topic, what are people's views on the effect of ACC on efficiency? I've been using it the vast majority of the time since I got my car, but I'm coming to the view that it affects efficiency quite badly by always trying to maintain a constant distance to the car in front without an ...

Re: Pod Point question
It's easier just to change the SSID of the new router to the same SSID as the old router, also use the same password. This also means you don't need to change anything on your other devices. So I change the name of the new TP LINK to the same as the old one? Is it that simple? I thought there would...

Re: Increasing the range while driving
:D If I want the car to drive like I've left a manual handbrake on by accident, I'll drive in B mode. I never drive in B mode. 😂 it can feel like that can't it. I spend weeks on end driving in D and then for no reason spend weeks driving in B. I like both. Doesn't matter how hard I try to anti...

Re: Pod Point question
I don't but related - have you considered using mesh devices rather than networking plugs and related network extenders? Much better WiFi coverage in my house with the mesh devices. So I need to ask SKY if I can have a mesh router and nodes rather than a standard router. I'm also on SKY Q which may...
