Long Weekend in Southampton

Just for info. I just returned from Eastleigh Southampton having spent a few days there in a Village Hotel. Pleasantly surprised that the hotel has 6 x 7 kW podpoint chargers that are free to use for guests. The chargers didn’t appear in the podpoint or zapmap apps. Good base for access into the New...

Re: Incorrect range reported in the App.

I’m seeing more and more reports of this issue on various Facebook groups, it does appear to be a 3.0 bug, guess we’ll have to wait for VW to push out an update. Finding the same issue on the Born running 3.0. Cupra digital suggested reinstalling the app but it made no difference. The server still ...

Re: Delivery time

I had an update today and was advised that my build date has been revised from week 34 to 00 no status. Sales also advised that the plant is on or entering a 4 week shutdown? and that they are finding it difficult to get any information at all.

Re: Why does preconditioning take so much power?

I assume the 224 miles was with the climate, aircon off. Then after the 10 mins preconditioning you got in the car with it on. You would see a significant hit in that circumstance especially if the car was working hard to get to 18degs. Yeah your assumptions are correct. I guess I thought why would...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born

Deviating a little. I experienced emergency braking from my Born yesterday. I was moving very slowly passed parked cars in a retail park and as I passed someone loading their boot my car just stopped dead. At first I thought for a split second I had hit an object like a high curb but the car must ha...

Re: Charging options, 1/2/3-phase

Hi Getting a new '22 Pro Performance soon, and planning a charger for it. However, I only have 2x16A available for the charger (1-phase used for other appliances). Q: does the ID onboard charger input work with 2x16A charging, or will it just use it as 1x16A? Thanks. (Charger: Webasto Pure II) Hi R...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born

Which one did you go for? V1 in vapor grey and typhoon 19" alloys. Now I've got to take the animated wing mirror repeaters I fitted a couple of weeks ago off, so I can put them on the Born. Excellent, same as me but different colour then. I got the invite for my ID3 battery and software upgrad...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born

I am so glad I switched. So, can I ask, does your V2 have the heated steering wheel? And a reversing camera? Been thinking, and the extra 50hp was £1300 extra on the iD.3, and the 18" East derry alloys were £650, so there's the justification for the extra £2k to change right there! Plus there'...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born

So both dealers told me the V1 doesn't come with a heated steering wheel, but the spec in the brochure says it does! Anyone confirm if it does, or doesn't? I jumped into a V2 and have yet to cancel my 2nd ID3 that has been on order since 09/09. I don't know a great deal about the V1 spec but the in...

Those issues are what finally led me to look for a Cupra Born from stock. It seems like a lottery and I don't gamble. So irritating.

Re: D versus B safety

I use both B and D a lot. No preference in general, just how I feel on the day and the journey. When I lift I have 2 modes. If I'm just controlling speed in true one pedal mode my foot doesn't leave the accelerator. If I'm using B as a brake my foot is off of the pedal and covering the brake pedal a...

Re: Delivery time

Update from my dealer today. Still at status 00, this is bloody ridiculous now. God knows if the government grant will still be applied if this goes over 12 month. Despite the ridiculous wait, it may be too expensive for me as I’m leasing it. What’s your thoughts on this? Would the payments go up a...

Re: Utumno's Tesla Model Y has arrived !

Several of you following the near 12 month saga of our VW ID.3 Tour order, culminating in the purchase of a Tesla Model Y after SWMBO threw her toys out of the pram asked for off-topic confirmation that we finally have our EV. Well, we do, I collected it on Saturday just gone, and we couldn't be ha...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born

I collected my Born V2 L Pack on Wednesday. It was a stock vehicle in Twickenham and with the equity in my Life Pro Perf it seemed sensible to cash in and get the Born. Vertu had called me to soften me up to the fact I would lose the £2,500 gov grant and if I waited until Oct Nov for my new ID3 the...

Re: Delivery time

I had a call from my dealer today advising that my car is very likely to arrive beyond the 12 month time limit for the Gov grant. My car was ordered on the 9th of Sept and is expected to be delivered in October. They remain confident that they can work on the package to offset the loss. I am in the ...
