Oh well, not much I can do but wait……
Commiserations. Wonder if all 77kW VW/Skoda models are similarly affected?

Re: Delivery time

I've been to a lot of car factories, not for the ID3, but a lot of the others, Smitten is right, typically the build time for a car on the production line is only 24 hours from the point that the metal is stamped to the car rolling off the line, everything before that is scheduling, planning and co...

Re: Delivery time

If the production process is taking up to 15 weeks, the cars must be going on and off the lines several times, as well as being parked-up for extended periods. When I visited the MINI plant in Oxford, the timescale was normally - 24 hours for the bots to build a shell, then its around 2 days to go ...

Re: Delivery time

Oh to be a fly on the wall at Zwickau! You do wonder what a 15 week "build" actually looks like on a moving production line  I wonder if cars go on the production line and then off again to await completion in some mega parking lot as mentioned above or if the "build" is mo...

Re: Electricity qnd gas price hikes!!!

Quite a few people already on Octopus Go/Go Faster (on Speak EV) have had success with either their tariff auto renewing at the old 5p/14.8p tariff in the past few weeks or have simply asked Octopus to renew at the old rate and it has been done. Spotting this error others have then had contracts ar...

Re: Delivery time

Just pondering with an MY22.5 car - those ordered before Dec should in theory, get a 2.3 software, and those from Dec 1st get 3.0 software. There doesn't seem to be anything on that order form to differentiate those dates, so, is it realistic to speculate that 'ALL' MY22.5 cars will come with 3.0, ...

Re: Delivery time

I have just been told I have unconfirmed build week 24. I had already figured that out fairly accurately from the spreadsheet. My leasing guy didn't realise what that meant in terms of delivery. Using the spreadsheet week 24 plus 15 weeks in build plus 6 weeks from factory to delivery, maybe, gives...

Re: MY updates coming soon?

Optimism indeed, just been confirmed that my 6th November order still has no build week Five months on Friday since I ordered and not a build date in sight  My ID3 Tour was ordered late August 2021. Still no build date. Just playing with week numbers to fill the time. I see there is a Tour wi...

Re: Delivery time

Just had my first update since mid November from dealer - scheduled build week now revised from 3 to 13. Not great, but could be worse I guess?! Just called my contact and I got the "out of office" message and no answer to e mail from a few days ago either. He has probably gone into hidin...

Re: MY updates coming soon?

https://youtu.be/ul3tDZ1Ao1c Is this the new interior by any chance?! Yes. The vegan leather looks right but the seat cushions are without pattern on the configurator and I am expecting a "new premium material dashboard, door cards and front console" as per the description on the VW messa...

Re: MY updates coming soon?

Indications are that they're doing it in a way I've never seen them do before. So any car built after week 51 last year gets the updated interior and winter driving mode. Then cars ordered after 1st December get the additional technology and software upgrades. Whether it will actually happen this w...

Re: PPF

Well applied PPF costs so much., you might as well do without and pay out for a bumper respray if the car's badly peppered at 3-5 years. If you take out lifeshine with the dealership, you'll make them very happy. £300-400 paid for £30 worth of product applied poorly/quickly to a poorly prepped car ...

Never posted before, learned so much from the various threads never needed to although new to Ev's. I am new to this forum and from Ireland.I have an ID.3 Comfort on order.I have been told week 36 production.I am curious as to know what MY 22 or MY 22.5 refers to in terms of the spec and updates in this thread. I could be wrong but I think that's the Manufacture Year? For us its the equivalent of...

Re: Sold back my ID.3 after a year

I had the use of a MINI Electric for a few days at the end of November, and in the sub-zero snowy conditions at that time, it too was returning one mile for each one percent of battery power, on local short-distance enthusiastic brisk driving on the back roads near home. As virtually all of my jour...

Re: Octopus Go New Tariffs

At 30p per kW that means my heatpump might as well be plugged into a Gridserve public charger 😳 although I expect all those charging costs are going to jump as well making 7.5p seem the new "cheap". Even this big hike in prices will still be less than I spend on fuel for the ICE each month...
