Re: ID3 impressions (as a family car)

Most cars nowadays will tell you which setting you've changed it to in the driver display but in the ID3/ID4 you have to "guess" based on how far up/down the stick is. Maybe it requires a level of skill and I'll learn to master how to gently nudge it into the right position, like some sor...

No worries. Like I say, the actual light units are exactly the same across the range, as far as I know. But someone with a fancier model may know otherwise!

Re: Life Pro Performance Interior 45kwh

Obviously I've assume that you meant Pure Performance rather than Pro Performance. As far as I know, that's still the only drivetrain available with 45kwh.

Re: Life Pro Performance Interior 45kwh

No complaints on my City (which is exactly the same model as Life just with a different name). It looks rather nice

As far as I understand, the higher end models just have more colour presets, but you can still adjust the colour manually.

Re: Stupid question no 1001...

It struck me that the cable supplied seems much more substantial than it needs to be. You'd think VW would have supplied the lightest possible cable - after all we're only able to draw 11kw from it (or actually 7kw in the case of my City, I think). The cables supplied with UK cars are 3-phase 32A c...

Re: General 2.3 OTA rollout to start

I have been waiting patiently for the update since I received and accepted the email. It wasn't until I remembered today that somebody on this forum stated that the lights possibly need to be switched off in order for the car to recognise the initial (part 1) of the update. We park the car in a gar...

Re: Can you use IPOD Classic in ID.3?

I think we can discount any question of the car being able to actually access any music on an iPod, in the sense of a mass storage device (memory stick style) at least. Apple used to go to great lengths to obfuscate the files on iPods such that even if you unhid hidden folders etc to see the content...

Re: Can the Cabin be Pre-Conditioned

Also worth noting that the temperature for pre-conditioning is configured separately to your normal climate control temperature, so you can ask the car to heat or cool more aggressively during pre-conditioning then ease off when you actually get in.

Re: ID3 Heating System

The issue I've had is with the two central vents in the middle of the dashboard. Quite often the driver side one can be chucking out air at a noticeably different temperature to the passenger side one. Perhaps I need to get this looked at. As an aside, I really miss the air vents from our A3, which ...

Re: General 2.3 OTA rollout to start

I’ve got the 2.3 download 3 days ago ,but still waiting for the We Charge app as anyone had the same problem? I had the WeCharge app without 2.3, so this was clearly extra. All the best Andreas I'd had wecharge installed before 2.3, but noticed as soon as 2.3 was installed that wecharge had disappe...

Excellent.

Despite many of us finding the update process far from optimal, I don't think we've yet had reports of a vehicle being bricked.

Re: ID3 Heating System

Interestingly, I have noticed a similar thing with my City (which doesn't even have two zone climate control!). I can't identify a consistent pattern, but the symptoms are just as you describe, the air can be coming out of the two centre air vents at very different temperatures. I initially wondered...
