Re: Confused to hell and back.

Yes, the range bug in the app only appeared after the 3.2 update. As others have said, the car/app combination 'helpfully' translates the actual correct range in miles eg 180 miles (and that figure is what is displayed by the car when you start it) by assuming that this range is in units of km and,...

Re: Incorrect range reported in the App.

The in-car digital interface isn’t great. Our ID3 has been ‘bricked’ during dealer software updates not once but twice. The vehicle was off the road for 6 weeks. This iOS app has replaced WeConnect - which worked pretty well. This one is stuffed with promotions for Data packages without explaining ...

Re: 2.4 to 3.???

Bloody hell Scratch, thats interesting, but prob not a surprise against a Tesla. Would that be different against another VW? Rob I have been tempted to ask my VW dealer about changing to the facelift ID3. It would be interesting to see what they quote. If it's a similar derisory amount, I would hav...

Re: 2.4 to 3.???

Bloody hell Scratch, thats interesting, but prob not a surprise against a Tesla. Would that be different against another VW? Rob I only did it for a laugh. Some time ago I spoke to someone at a Tesla outlet who said that they will quote ridiculous trade ins, as they don’t want the cars. Then why sh...

Re: 2.4 to 3.???

There are some improvements. But the battery recall issue is a bit of a PITA at the moment especially as dealers don't have capacity to actually do the work of your car needs it. What you need to bear in mind is that it's classed by VW as a recall rather than an optional upgrade so when your car ne...

Re: Scheduled Charging

Just a quick update. With the problems I was seeing with IOG charging schedules, I thought I had a way that would guarantee a charge, by ignoring IOG and using the car’s timers. It worked once or twice, but it doesn’t work now. Car is booked in for the 15th Jan (earliest loan car). The car will be 3 ...

Re: Scheduled Charging

I didn't have any issues using car or charger schedules (or both!) in my previous EVs. The only thing that’s changed is I’mon Intelligent Octopus now but I’ve switched that off and still having issues. I feel like the ID software is the problem. Have you “switched off” IO, or removed the charger/ve...

Re: Scheduled Charging

There are an awful lot of control systems overlapping there. The interaction between Zappi and the VW departure times and locations setup was difficult to work through. I didn't have any issues using car or charger schedules (or both!) in my previous EVs. The only thing that’s changed is I’mon Inte...

Re: Scheduled Charging

And the problems continue… Charge started bang on 11:30, checked the VW app at 12:15 and it stopped again!! Went from 52% to 56% in that time so seemed to be charging at full whack but I cannot understand why it stopped? The app said waiting for preferred time but it was in the preferred time windo...

Re: Scheduled Charging

Battery now at 52%, my plans for the day changed so didn’t need the full charge I initially required, which is quite lucky really since I managed 0 charge last night. Car plugged in with the charger schedule active and everything else off. ID.3 gave me the usual red light but the charger app shows ...

Re: Scheduled Charging

I think the problem must be with the latest chargers incorporating this 'up to 10 minutes delay' feature. What is the reason for this delay? My charger is an old dumb QUBEV installed a few years ago before the smart charger rules came in. I believe the powers that be are trying to stop, or control,...

From you tube, you need to pop the glass off to get access to the hoop release
OK Thanks

Re: Scheduled Charging

Intelligent didn’t work… not a single kW overnight despite it mapping out the charge pattern on the app. Car and charger set to immediate/do nothing, all very frustrating! Back to dumb mode for octopus and a charger schedule. I get the distinct impression that you are experiencing the same issue as...

Re: Scheduled Charging

Since 3.2 the car charging has been faultless with OI. Just set your charger to dumb mode and don't set anything in the car. It has been faultless since September when I had the software update done. So was mine - until my Zappi was replaced with a new one, which now instigates an “up to 10 minute ...

Re: Scheduled Charging

If I understand the question correctly, the answer is the car. Both the Zoe and MG4 weren’t compatible with intelligent at the time I had them/when I checked. The charger has always been fine. The reason I asked, is that I am having horrendous issues with getting my car to charge at all at home, le...
