Re: Timed charging 3.2
Schedule in the car, not at the charge point. When you plug in, check it hasn't flipped back to "charge Immediately". Tried that last night, didn't work - Had to manually put the charger on to get it to charger at 32A (7kw) - Works perfectly without issue on all public chargers, only wher...

Re: Auto closure of windows not working after 3.2 upgrade
I havent noticed that but have a slightly different problem with my windows. If I open my windows down to say, half way (or less than fully open) - when I eventually want to close them and apply the switch to close, they open fully. Driver or passengers have the same problem. Whats that all about? ...

Re: Bogging Down Pulling Out Into Roads
Have you got any warnings coming up? It couldn't be the assist system kicking in somehow? I've never had that myself.

Re: Cruise control deactivated
If it says cruise control deactivated, have you tried pressing the button on the steering wheel to reactivate it? Sorry if this is obvious but you'd be at least the third person I'd seen who was missing this because they'd turned it on so long ago and forgotten about it. You can prevent voice contro...

Re: Public charging how do you pay
Most UK rapid chargers do take contactless now. Zapmap is a very useful app to have for finding chargers, and it includes info on what payment system they use, which I think is usually reliable. I have two RFID cards - a wecharge card, which you can order from VW through the WeConnectID app, and an ...

Re: Renaming my car "Christine"
Got in the car yesterday and set the temperature to Lo, the outside temperature was 18 degrees and I drove with the windows open. Stopped for 10 minutes and when I drove off I saw that the car had turned the heating up to 22 degrees and switched on the aircon all of its own volition. Love driving t...

Re: 3.2 software update cancelled
Hi No you’re not alone - my garage in Swindon have cancelled my appointment for the second time and I’ve had to make another appointment for July. Apparently VW communications with garages is extremely poor, and they’ve just been told to stop doing upgrades. I’ve no idea why some garages apparently...

Re: 3.2 software update cancelled
Update on Upgrade, had the car back last night after 4 days and except for the voice control was turned back on, but is still useless, the car feels a lot more responsive, whether this is down to driving an ICE car for the last 4 days, I'm not sure. When I got home from the garage it was asking me ...

Re: Delivery time
Battery Life did a couple of videos with the ID3 facelift this week and, prompted by VW (ie, an advert), he told viewers that the waiting list for new ID cars is down to 2-3 months, with some models even less. I have also seen VW dealers advertising 0% finance on new ID cars in the last few days (ID...

Very sorry about duplicate posts. I kept getting "http error 500" so I thought they hadn't posted. I'm now getting the same error when trying to delete the most recent one. Hopefully this post works.

Re: Forum ads!
The speed and topic order is something I am looking at. The ads though is strange as I’ve actually significantly reduced the ads in the site. There have always been ads but Google used to place them in random places or in the middle of posts. All I have done is fix the location and reduced the amou...

Forum ads!
A huge advert space has started appearing at the top of the forum and of every post. Is this just me or everyone, and can it be removed? Along with the recent change in the order posts are displayed it has made the forum much less usable. Thanks Edit - there are more ads further down the page too. T...

Re: Octopus not so intelligent
I'm signed up through the Ohme charger, not the car. It works fine. Ah ok. There were significant compatibility issues with Ohme scheduling that arose with software 2.3 and 2.4, for what it's worth. They were later fixed by Ohme although the solution is a bit messy and still sometimes gives chargin...

Re: Octopus not so intelligent
I did read a comment on a EV Nick youtube video that said 3.2 has broken Intelligent charging. This is because the car is not liking the pauses that take place. It sees them as a charging error and wont restart after a pause. I'm still on 2.4 and its working fine, I'm in no rush to get 3.2. 2.4 doe...

Re: Intelligent Octopus and Tour (proS 77kwh)
Are you using the car or an Ohme charger to schedule with IO? If Ohme I would just tell it you have an ID5 (actually I would probably tell it I had a Buzz ). It will make no difference. If through the car I guess you can't do that.

I've seen a couple of people complain about their A/C not being cold in the past. Both turned out to have a fault on their car that was fixed at the dealer. It's good when working normally.

Re: 3.2 software update cancelled
The reason that a number of cars will have been booked for new battery modules will not be because they have had an electric drive warning, it's because every ID3 on the road built before software 3.0 came out (last spring) has a recall on it to check the main battery modules for degradation and rep...
