Re: Delivery time
I picked my replacement ID.3 up yesterday. All seems fine except it was quite damp inside. Hopefully it's because it has been sitting around for 10 weeks in damp air and it isn't a rain leak. It's running V3.2.0 software, there are a few differences to my old cars V2.3. Many pages have been refreshe...

Re: 3.0 Software Update
Seems mad that VW have failed miserably to roll this update out after it was up and running in March!

Re: Hello there!
Welcome. I'm sure you'll love your new car when you finally get it. You'll develop a smile every time you accelerate from a junction, glance in the rear view mirror & see how you've effortlessly left the ICE cars behind. The ID.3 has some nice driving dynamics and does lots of things really well...
I like the look of them & reckon it's worth paying the extra not to get the Bridgestones! The Continentals o...

Re: Delivery time
My car's made it to my dealership and should be ready for collection on Tuesday. It will be just over 14 months from the date of my order. Just wondering what version of software it will be running.

Re: Do I need to have my service done by a VW dealer?
With a two year service interval and 3 year warranty, you only have to go to a VW dealership once to avoid problems should you need the warranty.

Re: Do I need to have my service done by a VW dealer?
Given that a brake fluid change is around £50-£70 and the pollen filter costs around £10 and any numpty could change it in a minute it's hard to see how they justify the charge. As far as I can see the only check that's done that's not on a MOT test is a visual check of the HV cables and you can get...

Re: 3.0 Software Update
As new cars are being shipped with V3.2, does anyone care to guess how long it will be before V3.2 is rolled out to all ID.3's? No doubt it will be even longer before we go beyond V3.2, my money's on at least a year for the former and probably longer for the latter.

Re: Delivery time
So yours was built in week 38 (end of Sept) and still isn’t with you 8 weeks later? Not even at the dealership yet?
Correct, I was told that it would take 4 to 6 weeks from build to delivery, but it looks like being more like 10 weeks.

Re: Delivery time
As I was advised by my dealer, you don't get any updates until the car has left the factory, indeed for me my first update for a week 38 build was in week 43 to say the car had moved to status 38, e.g. in the port of exit (Emden) and cleared for export. it then sat there for what seemed like ages an...

Re: Delivery time
Dealer confirm my car was finally built today. ordered on 25/10/21. JCB group now have to wait a see if we will see it before xmas or in the new year with the holidays coming up. I know the frustration that a lot of the members have gone through, complain to HQ made no difference, just got bounced ...

Re: Harness wiring for led lightbar between the headlamps
Here in the UK, all of the 1st editions came with an illuminated light bar, but note that the lightbar is only illuminated when the headlights are on. We only had a mid-specified car, I believe there were 3 variants in LHD world so not sure if they all had it. I did see some wiring diagrams that som...

Re: Delivery time
Same for me, how long can a car take from the factory to the dealership and on to me? It's now been 7 weeks since it was manufactured. When I asked on the 25th October it was in Emden, cleared for export, I've no idea when it got there. There have been several sailings and no call from the dealershi...

The Isar Highway is just about to Dock in Grimsby. You can see the ships in Emden on vesselfinder.com. you can only see a day's worth unless you stump up for the pay wall.

Re: Electric drive error & can’t switch car off/lock it
To be honest, the dealership doesn't have much say in what they do. They tell Germany what the symptoms are if it's a problem that they haven't seen before and Germany tell them what to do after a day or so. When that doesn't work, it's communicated back to Germany and they eventually come up with t...
