Re: Octopus intelligent query
Minor point with Ohme. As well as the standard Ohme charger, I also have an Ohme granny cable. The Ohme app doesn't have a simple scheme for swapping Ohme chargers - and one needs the full charger ID to change over.

Re: Post 3.2 Glitches & Charging ignoring max charge limit ?
With the radio volume issue, I find the default settings tend to change without me having done anything. In particular, the traffic (etc) announcements volume ought to come through at the same level at all times, but changing standard volume during a journey seems to influence the traffic settings t...

Re: Software bugs - V3.5
4 is not unusual for me - once system is up it's common for the signal strength indicator to be only one bar, so I've always assumed poor 3G (or whatever it is) service takes a while to get established.

Re: Strange " Issue" with charging at favorite times ID.3
Finally, after upgrading to 3.2, I am able to charge the car from 11pm to 7am, but despite the fact that I have set "charge at preferred times" by default, when I return from the workday, the system seems to forget my choice, and always offers me to "charge immediately to..." Oh...

Re: Anyway to get v3.0 from 2.4 right now ?
For once, the webform was clear, easy to use and worked perfectly. Booked in with original dealer Friday 28th. I should have known it was too good to be true! (Clearly, I'm not cynical enough.) Call from dealer: sorry, can't do THAT work THAT day. It'll have to wait a bit, sometime in August? Oh, h...

Re: Electric Parking brake failure
I wonder just how many electric motors and electrical connectors there are in this car? Fifty years ago, a lot of cars had only three electric motors: starter, wipers, ventilation blower (a couple of decades before that and at least one of those would have been an optional extra). And sometimes only...

ZapMap does allow filtering, by charger type, by connector type, by maximum power delivery, by network, etc. And it shows latest information on status.

Re: Electric Parking brake failure
Did the car actually seem to have no parking brake? That is, was the warning of no parking brake correct, or does it seem that there was a sensor which was inaccurately reporting that the brake wasn't working?

Re: ACC not calculating speed with a mobile speed camera
As with other aspects of this car and - it seems - many other cars, the various sub-systems can be very good at recognising things (eg speed limit signs), but very poor at incorporating that properly into a full "awareness" of the road situation when it comes to controlling the car's speed...

Re: Keyless Entry Stopped Working
I'm getting fed up with keylesslessness. That is, the state of the keyless operation being non-functional, the door sensors don't want to operate. When this occurs I have to fall back on the fob buttons. I can just about tolerate flaky functionality when the sensor is rained on - I get used to that ...

Re: Efficiency
IMO, the most useful figures are those based on same state of charge. That is, kWh supplied to restore to the endpoint of the previous charge session divided into the mileage between those two sessions (80% to 80% being normal for me). I assume the car will stop the charging at a nearly identical So...

Re: "electric drive" error
Any advice as to whether the car was safe to drive? After all if you read certain press, they are all about to blow up anyway! In my case, yes, in that they said with the warning gone everything should be fine. Even before that (ie while the warning was coming up every time), since the car drove as...

Re: Efficiency
Is it possible the higher displayed efficiency is mis-reporting km/kWh as mi/kWh? There are other threads where the system seems to get confused as to which units it should be using. If that's not the case, what is there in 3.2 which could deliver such a significant improvement? We know that cars w...

Re: "Electric Drive not Working properly" fault
Search for this message on the forums (eg https://www.id3forums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2681 ) - it can mean anything from the car might suddenly lock the drive and need extensive attention to operate again, to the system has got its knickers in a twist, the car behaves perfectly normally apart from d...

.... I doubt if any journalist has read the manual which explains that if you hold the REAR surface for three seconds the illumination flashes, and then you can operate all four windows together with one button. ... Reading the manual is a mammoth task. The 2020 pdf which I collected thanks to info...

Re: Did you test drive an ID3 prior to purchase.
Yes, would not have bought without a thorough test-drive. Same with other cars considered at the time. A key point was that I'd very little prior driving experience of automatics, and none of electrics, and wanted to be sure I wasn't going to be always reaching for a non-existent gear lever (etc).

Re: Experience at a Tesla Supercharger
I installed the app last summer, but didn't use the only Supercharger I went near as it cost a lot more than the LiFe one a few miles away. But I try to have maximum options available, and too often it's been necessary to have Plan B, and occasionally Plan C.
