Re: Octagon Go / Hive App - Different energy figures.
You can also get the submitted, raw half-hour data from other sources like n3rgy and a smartphone app like Bright or Octopus Watch to compare. It should be the same as what Octopus is reporting (Octopus gets the data from the DCC - the same source of data as used by n3rgy, Bright, etc.) so it's wort...

Re: Sorry for a lame question
On the 'Goodbye' screen - shown when switched off (set to Neutral/Park) and you're about to get out of the seat - the display shows a few options: one of them is 'Internal monitoring' at the bottom - disable this. 'Internal Monitoring' enabled means the car alarm system will look for changes in the ...

Also, you need to select L on the mirror switch *every time* you want the mirror to dip. This is the bit that winds me up. I don't mind the initial setup, but every time you want to reverse carefully, you realise there are 2 steps - engage reverse & turn the mirror selector to 'L' - which usual...

Re: Only getting 3Kw on 22KW charger
Do you have the 'Reduced AC charging current' setting enabled in the car or in the WeConnect ID app? This will reduce the 11kWh (max ac charging with the ID.3) down quite a bit. Do you have any locations set in the car? This might mess up charging at public chargers. With regard to rapid charging, d...

Re: Time to charge
Is the car charging LED (next to the charge port, when the charging flap is open and you've plugged in) pulsating green?
If yes - the car is charging.
If no - the car is not charging.

Re: Don’t buy an Ohme Charger
I've had a polar opposite experience tbh, and especially since the latest app/service update. Originally obtained the Ohme smart charger cable (set at 32A with a commando plug) last October. Electrician not ready to install the 40A breaker/dedicated cable to an isolating 32A commando socket, so cont...

Aren't they flat-packed like most Ikea furniture? I'd say you'd easily get a flat-packed Billy into the ID.3, so long as you don't have backseat passengers in there!
(might also not need a front passenger either, depending on box lengths...)

Re: Range changed to km
In the WeConnect ID app on your phone, tap on 'Profile' (bottom-right icon), then tap on 'App Settings' & check the 'Units' (Distance) - is it set to 'Miles (mil)' or 'Kilometres (km)'? If Km, tap on it and select Miles instead. Thanks, I double checked and the app was set to miles. My wife too...

Re: Charge rate dropped to 4kW
One of the best ways to see detailed charge data on a cross-platform (car/charger) basis is to use the Tronity service: https://www.tronity.io/?lang=en Here's an example of a recent 50kWh DC charge with the ID.3, from 24% to 85% charge: 50kWh_charge.png Link doesn’t seem to work? Thanks for the err...

Re: Volume Controls sometimes control voice instead of radio
From experience, while the 'voice' is speaking (ID voice/navigation, or Apple/Google maps/waze) and you use the steering wheel vol + or - buttons, the spoken volume will be increased/decreased. At all other times (no voice announcements occurring), the steering wheel vol + or - buttons affect media ...

Re: lost voice commands from sat nav
Does Siri activate if you long-press the Voice Control button on the right-hand side of the steering wheel controls?
If so, immediately press the Volume+ button to increase the volume of Siri/Apple to see if that changes anything.

Re: lost voice commands from sat nav
You can increase/decrease the 'spoken' volume of Apple/Google Maps/Assistant & sat nav by increasing the Vol + and - on the steering wheel *while 'she/he/it' is 'speaking'* But how you can time this to increase when you can't hear she/he/it speaking is another story... There must be a setting so...

I was high - 71% SoC when plugged in last night. I don't usually bother until down into the 60% range, but was curious to try regardless because of the DST change

The car was charged to the set 80% by the set 04:30 completion time, so it appears to have worked OK despite the clock change.

Re: Strange circular door marks
Our white one has them too. They started out as small circles, but seem to have developed into larger 'smudges'. Washing gets rid of them, but they return and grow while the car is slowly collecting dirt in-between washes. Only on the nearside too - the offside has smaller marks which seem to have g...
