Re: Ohme charger problem
I'm still testing... I'm also on Octopus Go (5p per kWh, 00:30-04:30) The charging/preconditioning seemed to be stable when using 1-hour charge slots set in the car (00:30-01:30, 01:30-02:30, 02-30-03:30, 03:30-04:30), with a max charge of 80% and a warm cabin by 08:30 - with the Ohme acting like a ...

Re: For those with Ohme charger.
I've just added my VW account details to the Ohme app too. I'll test over the next few days. To be honest, the car has been behaving itself while acting as the charge controller for the last few weeks, even heating the car by a departure time properly (the Ohme has been 'dumb' through this period) -...

Re: My ID.3 Life story...
P.s. almost 6 months in to ownership and still love the car. It might be the base spec, but it has everything that I need, most of the bits I might want, and it's a really nice place to be. Plus, it's the first car that I bought that has appreciated in value, which takes the sting out of such a big...

Re: Alarm goes off at random
From the various messages on this thread, it's not clear to me what self-help options I may have. On the goodbye screen, when you've set it to Neutral/Park, one of the settings (the bottom one) is 'interior monitoring' - disable that. When disabled, the alarm isn't checking inside the car when you ...

Re: Speed limit adherance
I see, so Speed Limiter, as opposed to ACC. Yes - this is available too, but also needs to be set and also 'controlled' by the '+' and '-' selections to suit the speed when in Speed Limiter mode.

Re: Dash board
My mental interpretation of the (top-to-bottom) directional listing is: Triangle = Forward drive (can be D or B mode, shown underneath the triangle) D/B - as above Park - No drive applied, electronic handbrake on. All good to get out. N - no drive applied, no e-brake on - roll-away baby!!!! (be care...

Re: Scheduled Charging
I've had the same 'conservation charging active' message under random conditions while testing a similar '4-hour slot' charging window. I have an Ohme charger and needed to set the car settings for preconditioning at 30 mins just before driving in the morning, while on a less-expensive time-slot for...

Re: Speed limit adherance
Activate ACC (press 'RES' on the left-hand steering wheel control pad) and the car will usually run at 29mph in a 30 zone, 39mph in a 40 zone, etc - unless behind a vehicle. It accelerates to the new higher speed zone after leaving the lower speed zone and decelerates to an upcoming lower speed zone...

Re: WeConnectID IOS app
Gone for me too. Android app 2.2.1 (app auto-updated 5 days ago) Which is a shame, I was still testing how robust I could get preheating to work properly. Not so robust now!... EDIT: So to check something, I've enabled 'Stationary Air-Conditioning' in the goodbye screen in the car. Stat AirCon, in t...

Re: How to drop the glove box
I'm not sure if you've seen the connecting-a-dashcam-to-an-id3 video, but it shows the 2 side-tabs to push apart to drop the glovebox here: https://youtu.be/8UiSdYxEmmY?t=273 (using that link should start the video playing from the glovebox-dropping part, rather than the absolute start) EDIT: Just t...

Good to hear it's working!
Thanks for the feedback, that could be very useful to other users who experience the issue.

Re: Charge port door won’t shut
That may be a dealer fix. If the cylindrical pin spins when you push it into the car and it has an edge (or lip) on one third/quarter of the diameter of the cylinder, at the outer-most top of the cylinder, and the receptacle on the flap visually looks OK - then it could be the flap that has an align...

Re: Charge port door won’t shut
When you open the charge flap, a plastic, cylindrical spring-loaded 'pin' spins out of the car. It has a small edge on the end, which rotates into/out of a matching receptacle on the inside of the flap itself when you close/open the flap. If that is broken, or the receptacle is broken (or not aligni...

Re: Steamy windows
Is it a common thing for the windscreen in the id3 to easily get misted up! Test driven id3 had a misted up windscreen, now my own id3 has started to mist up! :? With the weather as it is, a mixture of damp and thawing-ice which creates damp, it's more than possible to have extra moisture in the ca...

Re: Timed charging for Octopus Go
Second test result = success (automated) :D After a bit of research, the Ohme charger likes full control. When configured correctly, it can charge the car when the electricity price-per-kWh is below a set price cap and also allows power to the car from 30 minutes before a set Finish Time if Precondi...

Re: Timed charging for Octopus Go
... Changed car to 80% max charge, left Ohme settings as-is, will test again tomorrow morning. Your using Ohme sheduler and In car? You're not going to get any sensible result. ... You're right. I'm not :( Next test is a rewind to the configuration that did work, but with a lengthened Ohme finish t...

Re: Timed charging for Octopus Go
Test, test, test... First test result = fail Test: The intention is to charge the car to 80% (or as much as possible) between 00:30-04:30 and then manually enable Air Conditioning at 08:30, to see if the Ohme allowed AC to pass to car to power the heater (outside of the 'cheap' hours) Settings: Car...
